She's a woman. She stopped and ask for directions. See how well it worked out. Especially since she asked for them from a man. ;-)

Thank God! We really don't know enough about this for the wisecracks yet. I'm just glad we don't have another American military person at the tender mercies of the Islamic nutcases.

"been beaten" and "in good health" don't go into the same evaluation. What are they going to come up with next..."not being held against her will" and "locked in a room"?

NBC National News on TV says she was found wandering, beaten with her hair cut and hair dyed near a police station in Bishkek.

If someone took her, then despite what was reported, she will have been raped.
Every female prisoner in war so far has been raped to my understanding, as have some men.

Sounds to me that she was kidnapped and was going to be smuggled out of the country but once the news of who she was and that the US Military was looking for her they (her kidnappers) dumped her some place.

She is safe. Good news.

so he beat her too? please. I believe that's SOP for Muslim men with regard to women and children.

Read this slowly -
"She was alone and not being held against her will, and was in good condition when she was found, Pentagon officials said. "
The woman was not being held against her will (but was missing)
The woman was not being held against her will (disappeared without telling her new husband)
The woman was not being held against her will ( but was beaten)
If you don't find something odd about this, you are some kind of nut.

Especially since she asked for them from a man. "Bishkek? Bishkek? Well, ma'am, now, I dunno - you go north along that road Cletus lost his pickup on and right whar Jonah's old barn used to be before it burnt down, don't turn there. Keep on the main track where it forks left even though the pavement goes right, and you can't miss it. If you go over a bridge you'll know you've gone too far."
"Welcome, ma'am. Glad to hep."
