Wyoming is looking better and better. Low cost of living and no state income tax too. :-)

Of course people in cities like Las Vegas don't carry guns anyway.

the atf is a useless, redundant organization. It should be eliminated, and it's field investigators turned over to the fbi

ATF officials told his office that they wanted the state to take steps to repeal the law For once, just once I'd like to read of an elected state official telling a federal thug to kiss his a$$.

Well, you know if the radical feminists didn't make a farce of the courts with their "guilty until proven innocent" domestic violence sham, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

"guilty until proven innocent" domestic violence sham Didn't this come to pass during the Co-Presidency of the Clinton's?
Undoing the harm of The Clinton's Legacy is going to take a long time!

Some of Wyoming's sheriffs have. They are pretty unique in that they retain the same broad powers they had in frontier days.
Most the other rural states have set aside their sheriffs' real power and it is now vested in the county attorneys. Really really sucks.
More rural states need to grow a pair and follow Wyoming's lead on this stuff.

Unfortunately, the War on Drugs US Supreme Court decisions have already set precedent on these matters.

The ATF has always smacked strongly government overreach and big brother. Like the IRS, they do not care about or respect a citizen's constitutional rights.

I believe it is unlawful for federal officials to lobby the states.
I cannot ever remember anyone being prosecuted, however.

But what if there's a scary gun out there somewhere?
When our moron ex-Governor Paris Glendenning tried pushing laws to ban handguns in Maryland the first thing I did was go buy a Glock 23. Then Glock 27 one month later (one gun per month allowed). What handguns? I don't own any handguns?...
