"Liberals" are urging ABC to censor its planned mini-series, "The Path To 911," stating, "Accounts of advance screenings indicate that this program places primary responsibility for the attacks of 9/11 on the Clinton administration while whitewashing the failures of the Bush administration." Our Constitution states, "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..." I don't see an exemption made for "advance screenings" by leftists. Remind you of the Islamist reaction to the Danish cartoons? Birds of a feather... If the Left doesn't like it, then it doesn't get shown? Is this what we've come to as a society?
Please explain, what is "liberal" about censoring a TV show? Such condescension towards the American people -- the Left's assumption being that Americans are too stupid to decide for themselves what happened on 911. Should the media only dish out negative coverage of Bush, but not of Clinton? Please contact ABC and urge them politely to go ahead with "The Path To 911." Here's a sample letter:
I urge you to resist calls to censor your special, "The Path To 911." Please air the mini-series as-is, and let the American people decide for themselves. 911 was a great tragedy. The last thing our country needs is less information about the event. Thank you.

I think part of the problem is that some don't know what a "docudrama" is. I've heard many - who have actually SEEN the film - maintain that although it's true that everything dramatized can't be taken literally or ver batim that it does convey the essence of what actually occured.
By the way, Congress, the president, and the Supreme Court have abridged free speech via McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform. In this election season the notorious 60 day restriction is soon to take effect and candidates for office will be muzzled.
Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson who carried the Nuclear Football during the Clinton years says that this is 100% on the money.
On Thursday, Democrat Senators threatened to yank the ABC networks broadcast license if it aired the miniseries said not to be completely favorable toward former President Clinton.
When asked if the rumors of ABC pulling the show due to pressure from former President Clinton and the Democrat leadership are true, Nowrasteh said: As I understand it, were airing Sunday and Monday night. When Hannity asked him whether or not Clinton and the Democrats had influenced ABC to heavily edit the docudrama, Nowrasteh responded: I cant deny those reports.
PING!!! for other folks
marking for later to send email
Whoa now big fella. We all have short comings but if it's the truth then show it and let us make up our own minds. Clinton and his cronies had more than one chance to get Bin Laden and they blew it because he was too busy with Monica in the cloak room.
Celebrate FREEDOM! Buy a Gun for 9/11 !!!
So I typed "pathto911.com" in my address bar and a disturbing thing happened, the democratic party site protesting the upcoming "docudrama" popped up wanting me to write an email to ABC and Disney telling them to pull the "docudrama"... So I did write a letter, I wrote an encouraging letter to air the "docudrama" and would encourage all to do the same. It's time to turn there childlike attacks to our advantage and teach them that we will not stand by while they attempt to pick piece by piece the American dream & lifestyle apart.
It is far too late. The left wing blogs have been all over this with passionate fascistic zeal. While we and other conservatives have been lukewarm about it, and depraved idiot Bill Bennett actually said today that the film should be altered (before going back to finish his game of blackjack). WHERE IS THE PASSION HERE? The so-called "false" "fictional" scenes are TRUE. There are no lies in it. It is critical that those Conservatives like Rush and Hug Hewitt who received a screener DVD immediately RIP IT TO DiVX and put it up on BitTorrent NOW. Don't let this become another victory for leftist censorship, like the erased boos for Hillary at the 9/11 Concert. We must act NOW. ABC is mere hours away from pulling this show.

But they may be filtering the emails...
TROLL ALERT on "Coollidge"
there is plenty of room for you on DU - no Clintonistas allowed
Try reading the thread before typing. It might spare you from advertising yourself as a knave.
We all know that sex scenes bring viewers--I would if the democrats would have been ok with DOCUMENTED behaviour like that being included? Too bad ABC didn't include a little of that to increase its viewing audience.
Or even better--to add even more realism--just a cameo guest appearance by Monica would have been a nice touch too!
We all know that sex scenes bring viewers--I WONDER.....
YOU don't speak for me! Go back to du.
They WOM'T censor -- they CAN'T. It is all but phycially impossible to do any content editing at this lat stage,
The most they can do is slap a disclaimer before and after.
That is IT.
Folks, this is going on as planned with the planned content.
He was just editing out the inaccuracies.
I think a veiled threat to ABC and its affiliates by the DemonRAT leadership that their broadcast licenses maybe at risk, IS AN INDIRECT CENSORSHIP. Without their broadcast licenses, they are NOTHING. They are saying "Wait until we retake the house and senate and stuff the FCC with our guys - you will be sorry you ran this miniseries that we feel smears Clinoon."
Oh, come on. Do you think ABC takes this seriously? There is no censorship in this country, and ABC knows it. The licenses of their affiliates is not in danger, and if it were I would be up in arms.
This argument seems like a mini case study in Godwin's Law.
