Ky. Plane Crash Survivor Asks 'Why?'

By JEFFREY McMURRAY The Associated Press Wednesday, September 6, 2006; 10:47 PM

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The sole survivor of a plane crash that killed 49 people near the Lexington airport last week told family members from his hospital bed, "Why did God do this to me?" but he hasn't mentioned the crash, a close family friend said Wednesday.

James Polehinke, who was the flight's co-pilot, can move only his head, and tears often well up in his eyes, said Antonio Cruz, Polehinke's mother's boyfriend. He said the 44-year-old has been in and out of consciousness.

re: on prayer requests and "news activism"--

I did a cursory search of "prayer" title keywords in the past couple weeks, and it is not unusual at all for prayer requests to be posted to News Activism, despite the disingenuous implications of evos on this thread.

I did check just a few, but every one I checked was posted to News Activism...

The evos would like us to think that some big rule-breaking was going on by posting to News Activism, rather than Religion. Once again, they are either deceitful or ignorant.

This invasion and disrespect by evos to a prayer thread is an innovation--they are breaking new ground.

News/Activism seems appropriate, after all, it's for people to take action on, so they can do something to help. Kind of fits in the the *activism* part.

Turns out, prayer threads are commonly posted to News Activism. I'm sure you just didn't happen to know that. Are you going to demand that people stop doing that on FR, or do you now declare "open season" on prayer threads?

Prayer threads are often and regularly posted to News Activism. Just review by search the past few weeks, using "prayer" as a "title" keyword.

You have more posts on this thread than I.

Have you posted a prayer yet? ROFL!

More posts, so what? You avoid the news (if it is news to you) that prayer threads are regularly, commonly, not-at-all-unusually, posted to News Activism?

I guess the evo-kiddie gang hasn't decided yet where to go from here, but I'll bet it's not to another prayer thread anytime soon.

Even with Maximum entropy processing, the S/N ratio has exceeded the bandwidth limits.

(In other words, it is a waste of my time and energy to continuously refute the same crap over and over)

Abandon thread - Women and children first!

Posting a prayer is no indication of whether anyone is praying or not.

Matt6:6. "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

Oh, she knows that. Just like she probably already knew that prayer threads are often posted to News. Fact was--*I* didn't know, before yesterday, one way or another.

It was awfully important for the evos, yesterday, to point out that this thread was not posted to Religion. What if they were aware, all along, that most prayer threads are not posted to Religion, and were making some kind of concerted PR strike to try to intimidate someone on FR who wanted to make a prayer request?

Sudden silence on this so-important issue of where a thread should be posted. Must be nap time at the daycare Central.

Scientists. Yeah, right.

I invite any interested reader to do their own thread title search on ""prayer request". Go to this search page, type in the words prayer and request, match all words, and order by post time. Be sure to look at several pages of returned articles.

You will observe the following facts:

It's my conviction this website is directed by much wiser heads and such "innovation" will result in unintended results upon those who employ it.

(Poor evo-creatures--they can't see between parentheses.)

(Maybe that's why they can't see the intelligence in creation.)

(There is clearly a lot of precedent for prayer threads being posted in News Activism.)

(At least we know now how to keep a secret around here.)

It is REAL exciting, getting down from the paved road, 1200 feet above the dirt one you see in the picture!

...and, if you are REAL adventurous, go down (not up!!!) Long Canyon road to the river {2000 ft.}. [It's nicknamed Pucker Pass heehee]

I hiked down into the Grand Canyon in my younger, more ambitious days. What an experience. It was quite a challenge. (Especially the beginning of the trial, where all the mules um, er, well landmined it.) I could hardly walk for days afterward.

((This is a test to determine if double parentheses cancel out one another - do not respond, as this comment is not monitored very closely.))
