At the time, I didn't believe Monica was a distraction. Still don't. Instead, I believe bin Laden was the distraction.
Whenever the media heat got a little too hot, Clinton trotted out bin Laden and claimed he was some kind of super-criminal, of the type found only in comic books. I remember reasoning that bin Laden may not actually exist and was instead a fictitious concoction for political purposes.
Thus, I would contend that, in Clinton's world, bin Laden was actually the distraction...from Monica, et al.
He could just have been screwed one too many times by that pair. They don't treat their friends very well. Also, he has probably built a good career now being the go-to guy on all things Clinton.
The thing is, it will educate people about the MANY attacks by Bin Laden (and the Iranians) during the Clinton years. They did not get the coverage they needed at the time.

Well, here's my view of it. Everyone has heard that Bush is to blame for every travesty of mankind under the sun. But Clinton's only public problem was Monica, at least in some people's eyes. If Clinton is blamed even partially for 9/11 people are going to want to know why.
Hopefully that will lead to Vince Foster and all the other problems he caused.
Lets stop beating around the Bush. The fact is that Clinton never had the balls to be President in the first place.
Oh his Jewels worked fine on interns and pardon seekers, on women who couldnt fight back . But when it came to making life and death decisions his Gonads shrank back into his belly like an ice pack had been applied.

Thats the key to it all right there. I gaurentee Berger stole doucments that would slam Klinon and himself as failing to do ANYTHING about OBL. I'd bet a years pay on it. Berger didnt take that BIG risk to steal a laundry list. I still don't know why Bush let him slide .

It may increase interest but I wonder how many minds it will change.
Some of my co-workers are already calling this right-wing propaganda since "Massa Bill" has pronounced it as such.
But they will suck up every drop of pig-vomit that Michael Moore spews out as Gospel.
Now THIS is a subject on which Morris is credible and his analysis should be accepted for discussion at least.
I've stated repeatedly I'm not afraid of the Clinton's. I don't obsess about them, and I certainly don't fear them.
I pity them. I disrespect them. I'm filled with disgust at what they do. Fear? Not even close.
At root what they are attempting is horrific, except, it's par for course for the Clinton's. The difference is that this isn't 1998. Even if it were, they were fairly lousy even then at a real cover up. And I've never understood why some conservatives almost hold their political skills in near awe.
The Clinton's drove me away from the Dem party. Well, them and those that excused what they did. It makes it difficult for me to hear of the myth of their political skills when they only succeeded in driving people like myself away in great number.
The Clinton's were a creation of the media, weak Republican challenger ('96), broken promise ('92) and as a result of the office the power of the presidency.
The W.H. has been stripped from them.
Rush still exists, but he has back up now.
I don't intend to allow someone like McCain to get through the primary giving them another chance IF she could even get her party's nomination. Others join me in that sentiment.
That leaves residual loyaties of the MSM and IOU's they keep cashing on foolish expenditures such as this. And in process everyone they come in contact with once again, and they themselves, look worse then if they'd just left the series alone.
Political genuises they are not. And now they've just tagged their entire party, once again, with their depravity right before the fall elections. Karl Rove couldn't have orchestrated it any better you nitwits.
