WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Amid an election-year debate over who can best defend America, U.S. congressional Democrats urged ABC on Thursday to cancel a TV miniseries about the September 11 attacks that is critical of former Democratic President Bill Clinton and his top aides.

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada denounced the five-hour television movie, set to air in two parts on Sunday and Monday nights, as "a work of fiction."

Reid and other leading Senate Democrats wrote to Robert Iger, president and CEO of ABC's corporate parent, the Walt Disney Co., urging him to "cancel this factually inaccurate and deeply misguided program."

Dick Morris: Clinton Attack 'Outrageous'

The attack by Bill Clinton and his allies on the upcoming ABC miniseries "The Path to 9/11" is "outrageous," charges former Clinton aide Dick Morris.

As NewsMax has reported, Clinton through his surrogates have demanded that ABC "correct all errors" in the docudrama or pull it from the air, charging that it is a "fictitious rewriting of history" regarding Clinton's handling of the terrorist threat.

But Morris claims that Clinton's national security adviser, Sandy Berger, and the president himself "were both responsible for failing to catch or kill Osama bin Laden on several different occasions."

Morris served Clinton as an adviser for 20 years and notably as Clinton's senior campaign strategist during his 1996 re-election.

Morris states that the evidence for this failure is documented in the 9/11 Commission's report and summarized in "Because He Could," the book about Clinton that Morris co-authored with his wife Eileen McGann.

The commission's report, released in the summer of 2004, "highlighted the weak, incompetent, hesitant, and inconsistent attempts of the Clinton administration to kill or capture Osama bin Laden," according to the book, which devotes an entire chapter to Clinton's mishandling of the threat.

"The report's account shows the president and his advisers at their worst."

The fact that the RATS are threatening legal action against the miniseries, should give everyone pause to what they would do if they ever gain complete control of the federal government. The RATS would do what they can to restrict Hannity, Rush and even this site.

I did not have anything to do with its production, but ABC has always stated that it was a docudrama based on actual facts from the 9/11 commission as well as evidence uncovered during several investigations. They admit to squeezing timelines and having actors play the parts of actual people, being a DRAMATIZATION of actual events. The Chairman of the 9/11 Commission was a consultant on the project, and stands behind everything in it a 100% factual... as in it REALLY HAPPENED.

Rush say it uncut and said it was very good. If ABS cuts or edits it in the least, I will not watch a minute of it.

If they do edit or cancel it, everyone is going to know about it, and it will just expose them for the lackeys to the DNC that they are, for those who haven't already figured it out (This is ABS Entertainment Division, not ABS News) Plus, that will create huge demand for the uncut "director's" version of it, which will mean it will eventually pop up somewhere. ABS has $40 million invested in this thing, so I can't see them just burning it.

I know some are outraged, and it is outrageous, but the Demonkats behavior and ABS's behavior being exposed here is actually a good thing -- it wakes up more sleeping pipples ...

I wish they had interviewed ( or maybe they did ) Paterson about Clinton playing golf and not taking the phone call about Bin Laden and also showed Berger stealing the secret files ( Let's see Berger deny that)

We can all thank Sandy Berger for removing all paperwork from the archives in his socks and pants. He paid $50,000 when he was caught, wonder how much he got from those he protected by his actions.
