ABC toned down a scene that involved Clinton's national security adviser, Samuel "Sandy" Berger, declining to give the order to kill bin Laden, according to a person involved with the film who declined to be identified. "That sequence has been the focus of attention," the source said.
The network also decided that the credits would say the film is based "in part" on the 9/11 panel report, rather than "based on" the report, as the producers originally intended.

Of course, let us not forget how many sets of knee-pads ABC and all it's minions wore out while BJ was President of the United States.
So if this is true, it should really come as no surprise.
Exactly and aren't they dumb making their objections NEWS?
By the end of the week, there will be a scenes added where Bush is ordering the 9/11 attacks and later on, Cheney will be using a remote control to steer the planes into the WTC, Pentagon and Pennsylvania field.
"Crap. I knew this would happen."
as did I......just damn!
"ABC toned down a scene that involved Clinton's national security adviser, Samuel "Sandy" Berger, declining to give the order to kill bin Laden"
more like eliminated.
It will tank in the ratings anyway.
BTTT and Bump!
They should add a scene in which this filthy bum pathetically stuffs documents in his pants in a desperate effort to conceal how badly he and the rest screwed up.
Sandy Berger's behavior in the national Archives was an outright admission of guilt.
Who wouda thought...
That's fine. How about we make the last scene Berger walking out of the document archives stuffing classified documents in his pants and coat? Then, simply fade to black.......
The fix is on.
The Clinton blacklist is wrong.
Aren't there advance copies out there anyway? How long will it take for the original scene to surface? Now this hype can only help the movie with all the discussion and controversy. I am sure I'll watch it.
This is just a preview for what the 2008 election coverage will be from ABC and the rest of the MSM. In fact, this is a warning shot across the bow from Slick Willie.
Don't run any negative stories on Hillary or the Clinton Admin or you will pay the price.
Weak-kneed network weenies. Losers.
I dunno - maybe you tell the truth, and have Tenet recommending the no go. And maybe you don't have Massoud sitting there watching, since he was a few hundred miles away at the time. And maybe you reveal that the CIA thought that the Afghan 'snatch team' was a bunch of boobs who probably couldn't pull it off. All of those things are well-documented, and the throaty support for showing them otherwise is baffling.
Thanks for the link. I used it to tell ABC that, while we WERE planning to tune in to the series, since they have allowed Clinton to pressure them into changing it, we wouldn't bother.
We haven't watched it in years, either. I told them that, too.
I wasn't that nice with what I wrote.
Yep, you nailed it. Good on yah.
