Three From Clinton Administration Urge Disney to Cancel or Revise Sept. 11 Miniseries
By JESSE McKINLEY
Published: September 7, 2006
Three members of the Clinton administration have written the chairman of the Walt Disney Company, ABCs parent, to complain that the networks coming two-part miniseries The Path to 9/11 is fraught with factual errors and fabrications.
The letters ask that the five-hour movie, scheduled for broadcast Sunday and Monday, be either edited for accuracy or canceled, and ABC gave a small indication yesterday that some changes might be made.
One of the officials, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, said in her letter to the Disney chairman, Robert A. Iger, that although she had requested a copy of the film, ABC had not given her one. But, Ms. Albright said, she has been told by people who have seen it that it depicts scenes that never happened, events that never took place, decisions that were never made and conversations that never occurred.
It asserts as fact things that are not fact, she wrote.
The concerns of Ms. Albright, as well as those in letters from Samuel R. Berger, former national security Adviser, and Bruce Lindsey, a Clinton White House aide who is now chief executive of the Clinton Foundation, were echoed yesterday by several Democratic members of Congress.
ABC, meanwhile, continued to explain that the miniseries, though largely drawn from the report of the Sept. 11 commission, was a dramatization, not a documentary.
But the network appeared to be leaving the door open to last-minute changes in t the film, which cost almost $40 million and is to be shown without any advertisements.
It is common practice to continue to make edits to strengthen a project right up to the broadcast date, said Hope Hartman, an ABC spokeswoman.

Just how cool is THAT? I'm teaching my kid about this right now! We, along with the locals, call it the *Crinton reign!
From what I've heard, half of this piece will air Saturday night. The other half will air Sunday...
I'm glad Rush watched the media preview so he can tell us what has been edited out of it by Sunday. They don't dare cut too much.
Yes, but what will it say?

its a docu-drama. Whats the big deal? Its a movie! No different to Moore's F9/11
I can't wait for this to be at blockbuster to view it without commercials.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.

Its a great illustration how the left/Democrats/liberal are afraid of free speech
Article says they are broadcasting it without commercials.
If it's true that X42 himself tried to get this cancelled, it must be hitting the truth about how he did nothing about al Queda for 8 years. Clinton's underlings crawling out from under their rocks to attack it just gives credence to this idea.
Apparently, this is documentation on how the *Crinton goofballs snoozed as Bin Laden plotted. From what I've heard, Madame Albright takes it in the shorts. (And that's one mighty big target - no?)
ROLL TAPE!
WOW that would be something, but they have to have some commercials. (Bathroom/food breaks)
I hope it is in HD!
1. To be popular
2. To get reelected
Confronting dangers was not part of his agenda and his eight years in office are the historical proof that will eventually be his legacy...... other than the "Red Dress"
Thieves and proven liars are claiming this is not accurate? Must have been too close tot he truth for the scum of the degenerate's administration. When halfbright and the sox packin' document thief open their mouths, they have to tell at least one lie or their faces would turn to stone. Clinton, on the other hand, cannot be shamed with truth because he knows that a too large percentage of Americans will not believe anything told about him in their sick degenrate sycophancy, so he knows he can lie his way out of any truth shown or reported about him. As I piss on his grave someday, I will be remembering his shaking his finger at US and lying through his degenerate democrat teeth.
I think you mean the "Blue Dress", but otherwise, you're dead on accurate. In eight years, he failed to do anything except welfare reform, which the GOP Congress forced on him. As far as foreign policy, if not for Mad Bomber Halfwit(who openly bragged to the press that she forced a war in Kosovo), their wouldn't be anything to speak of, except for his desperate attempt to force Israel to accept a bogus peace deal with Yassir Arafat so he could have a legacy beyond impeachment and Monica Lewinsky. Now that the truth about bin Laden and al Queda is about to come out, revealing what a waste of human flesh he was in the Oval Office, it's panic time.
Yes, I heard Rush talking about it and it's important to remember that he said it's not a free pass for Republicans.
They, too, had some culpability according to the film. But what has the Dems in hysterics is that Clinton was the president for EIGHT YEARS and there are documented instances where he was not serious about getting Bin Laden despite his few botched half-hearted attempts.
They are also enraged because Madame Albright and Sandy Bergler are portrayed as the incompetent bunglars that they really were.
But the thing that really has the Clintonistas furious is that the Monica affair is memtioned!!
"Republicans urges revisions or cancellation of Fahrenheit 9/11, BushWorld, Bush's Brain, Against all Enemies, V For Vendetta, etc, ad nauseam."
Hmm. Nope. Can't imagine it. Because Republicans aren't fascist traitors trying to silence opposing view points, even if it consists entirely of lies and slander, let alone hiding embarassing/unpleasant/compromising information.
