Fox News has been running internet coverage of 9/11 events on an unpublished internet stream. I have been watching the coverage since this afternoon after I discovered the link was active.
At midnight EDT, Fox just rolled over the coverage and restarted it with Fox and Friends at 8 a.m. EDT, Tuesday September 11.
The Windows Media Player link can be found here: http://foxnews-foxstream.wm.llnwd.net/foxnews_foxstream
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
"All he says is that his name is Heatseeker and he wants me to restart the 9/11 feed or he's going to do kill me!" the technician said. Observers noted that the "gun" actually appeared to be a small kitten with small Viking-like helmet on its head.
I'm starting a new job Monday in the People's Republic of Santa Monica. I'll probably catch some of the coverage when I get home, perhaps there will be some good radio retrospective on my way there.
K ... thanks. Have you tried it on Firefox?
No, ma'am.
I'm convinced they're editing breaks, putting the new graphics in, etc. So until they announce it on their web site, it will be catch as catch can. You may see it restarted at the beginning or somewhere intermediate.
If you see segments of it, just watch; be assured if we find out specifics, it will be posted. Heck, if I know about it in advance and someone (not me!) makes a PING list and FReepmails it to me, I'll do my best to notify everyone (I don't have time to make one up since I'm supposed to be working!).
The link is active; they just aren't streaming anything right now.
Everyone on FR attacked Rather for that one when it happened.
All I got was the first 27 mins, then the feed stopped.
Please point your bit torrent client here:

I'll seed as long as needed. It's a 52 meg .asf file of the first 27 mins.

Wish everyone could see this, thanks for posting it.
See my 1,168
I don't have time to watch it right now (I'm really sick with a cold and starting to doze off) but I remember Dan Rather on Letterman. Letterman was off air for about a week after the 9/11 attacks. What I remember of Rather's appearance was "America the Beautiful" and how he teared up, and I cried right along with him - that verse -
"O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!"
Ever since reading Peggy Noonan's books back in the early 90's ("What I Saw At The Revolution" in particular), I've had a kind of respect for Dan Rather... as though I see him through Noonan's eyes.
What is a bit torrent client?
I saw the link yesterday. A fox journalist was on the streets near trade center. And he asked a truck driver what he felt. he said he saw bodies falling , dead and injured. what was he supposed to feel he asked the fox journalist .I cant explane it ,but it was very moving .
Thanks a ton, I'll start it up when I get home.
It's a download manager that allows you to download and share at the same time.
U torrent works best for me. It's free, http://www.utorrent.com/
We have 2 people sharing the file now.
I'll keep the torrent up for a few days.
Which of those programs do you download?
Many thanks!!!!
Thanks for the ping. I hope I can catch the beginning of the feed one of these times. I never saw the beginning coverage.
