Fox News has been running internet coverage of 9/11 events on an unpublished internet stream. I have been watching the coverage since this afternoon after I discovered the link was active.
At midnight EDT, Fox just rolled over the coverage and restarted it with Fox and Friends at 8 a.m. EDT, Tuesday September 11.

While we sat there and watched on TV, they had no clue what was going on, to the point that the people in the North Tower didn't even know the South Tower had fallen.
Thanks. I read those the day of. Will read them again, but seeing this "live" for the first time is different (& still scary, sickening, angering, etc, etc.)

Thanks so much Dave. I was out that morning and didn't get home until after the towers fell. This is the first time I'm seeing it from when it first happened.
I was at work that day and missed all the coverage until afternoon. It still doesn't quite seem real. I KNOW it happened. But it just seems so incredible.
fox should leave this running indefinately. america needs to see this over and over and over.
Mine stopped and refuses to get going again. Oh, well. Fascinating coverage, either way.

I don't recall which network it was. I'm thinking that Dan Rather was the newscaster that I had flipped to for a few minutes that day.
But - they were showing the live camera of the two towers burning and the guy (Rather?) gets a bulletin handed to him and says something like "we have a report that one of the towers has collapsed....um...but, obviously that is not true as we can see from our live camera's that they are standing." It was quite awhile (several minutes) before the camera's showed the first tower falling.
I've always wondered about that. Probably the camera wasn't as "live" as he thought. But I know it was longer than the standard few seconds delay to delete a cuss-word or something.

True, but as an idea it's a non-starter, because as we all know the most important thing is not to incite a backlash against Muslims.
I'm never up that early, never. I never watch Good Morning America, never. That day I woke up early & was watching Good Morning America. Watching live was surreal.
But then again Dan Rather didn't know his butt from a hole in the wall....
