Fox News Streaming 9/11 Coverage

Fox News has been running internet coverage of 9/11 events on an unpublished internet stream. I have been watching the coverage since this afternoon after I discovered the link was active.

At midnight EDT, Fox just rolled over the coverage and restarted it with Fox and Friends at 8 a.m. EDT, Tuesday September 11.

That's the part I had hoped see too. When we went from one era to the other in one violent moment. How our lives have changed since that second plane hit the towers. Hard to have imagined it.

I hope they'll do it again...and I am sure they will.

I live right down the street from ABC and I used to work in Network Television. No doubt they have already weighed the legalities and will go forward. They're thinking RATINGS. You think they'll pull the show? This is free publicity for them! The ratings will be astronomical.

Folks, the feed is dead. No activity at all on it. Last night when they changed a disc/tape or whatever it stayed active but was black. I suspect at some time they might bring it back up again, but I have no knowledge of it at all. If I had to guess, I'd say check tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. EDT as that is the time of the original broadcast. If other check it later today, go ahead and PING me please.

Thanks for sharing a piece of history with us. I'm glad I got a chance to see the Fox coverage as I didn't have cable at that time.

If it comes back up, please blue, red or green me. Pink would be fine too, but if anyone yellers me I'll be deeply saddened. That "saddened" thing, had to be said, cuz there wasn't even one post of it when Daschle was on the feed.

I just get a "Cannot connect" message.

I doubt if the few folks here on FR knocked out their server. But they may have found out we were using their bandwidth and pulled the plug.

And who knows, they may have just been trying out the feed so that they can stream opposite CNN on Monday.

BTW, bookmark the URL in post #8 as it has been active a couple of times. I have seen pool coverage of one of the President's speech's, live Fox streaming during the Israeli war in July and then this.
