For those who don't know, Barbara and John were Freepers BKO and BCM respectively. Both represented what's great about FR and conservatism. Both went out fighting. I think of them, and people like them, often.

Thank you, Mr. Silverback., for a nice bit of writing. And, more importantly, for a giving us pause to remember and honor those lost.
I've signed up to write a tribute at my blog as part of the 2996 project. It, the project, has really expanded in to something the world, at least the wired world, will notice. Your wonderful line about losing 1 great human 3000 times perfectly complements the 2996 concept.
I see from earlier in the thread you've been informed of the 2996 Tribute, so I post here for two purposes.
1) to spread the love a little more with the following links
