BATAVIA, N.Y. (AP) _ Five parents who asked to transfer their children out of Batavia High School classes with a transsexual teacher have been denied, according to city schools Superintendent Richard Stutzman.
The written requests did not meet the guidelines set out by the district, Stutzman said Tuesday without providing specifics. "That's all between the school, the teacher, the parents," he said.......... .

What is really unsettling about this report is that apparently only FIVE of this nutcase's students have parents with enough morals and/or moxie to request a transfer out.

INDEED!
Good work. I think there might be a song in here that I can send off to the parents for at least some entertainment value in this disgusting situation.
They forgot *that* long ago (and sadly, have been able to get away with it...)
the infowarrior
there's entirely too much Batavia negativity goin' on....I'm going to axe JimRob for a new screen name.
Homeschool homeschool... You DO have choices. The schools are a business, too, and they depend on OUR money.
Time to transfer into homeschool.

Amber Dobiesz, a Batavia resident who underwent a similar change three years ago, said the teacher was happy with her decision, as well as the way the school district handled it.
She has a glow about her, Ms. Dobiesz said. She told me, Im the happiest Ive ever been in my life.
I said, I know how you feel. Its like you won the Lotto.
that may be a good idea!!
i think that it should be the students speaking out on whether or not what happened at Batavia this year is really as "criminally wrong" as it has been described. why dont we ask the kids that actually sit in her class? you know what they'd say.. that its a class - its 80 min. of learning a new subject from a teacher who's been teaching the subject for years.
i dont think that anyone other than the students of Batavia have the right to say anything against it..
do you sit in her class?? no
did you get the GID training on your first day of school?? no
so please tell me why it matters to people outside the city of Batavia
Because students are minor children who don't necessarily know what's best for them and need protection from mentally ill teachers. Transsexualism/transgenderism is a serious mental illness and no one with mental illness should be teaching kids, whether the kids are 6 or 16.
Additionally, the more the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender lobby is allowed to control the social and legal life in the US, the worse for everyone. This is a legitimate topic of discussion for everyone, if it isn't in someone else's town soon, it will be.
Kids naturally look up to teachers and they are natural role models. Maybe some confused kids will think of "gender reassignment" surgery for themselves some day, now. They'll think that this is a normal or natural thing to do, when it is actually a symptom of confusion and misery, and the people who do it are not happy people.
If you don't know much about the causes of homosexuality, the truth that homosexuals can change, and what happens to people who mutilate their bodies to pretend to be members of the opposite sex, you should do some research. Don't just take other peoples' words at face value.
scripter - if you have time, would you post a couple of apporiate links? I can't stay on FR for more than a couple of minutes. :-(
but these kids are not 6 years old. they are 16 to 18 year olds.. meaning they can think for themselves because thats what they've been told to do for their entire teenage years.
but when you're telling them that this is wrong and immoral and whatever else, then you're deciding for them.
Well, to follow your logic, teenagers who are dependent, living at home, and not really old enough to be on their own in the world as self supporting adults, should receive no guidance from anyone whatsoever.
When I was 16 to 18 I thought a lot of stuff true that I found out later was not so. And so will most kids that age. And so will you.
Try doing a FR search using the keyword "homosexual agenda", and then read up for a few hours. It'll be a real education.
I wish you well.
If only that were the case. The kids today are not taught to think for themselves, instead they are taught what to think.
Unfortunately I don't. Just got back from the lake and have too many things to do. Maybe tomorrow afternoon...
