{Martinez won because G.W.B. and Jeb heavily went to bat for him}
Yes and no. It is true that the Bush borthers campaigned heavily for Martinez. But Martinez ran behind President Bush in North FL. Martinez winning Miami-Dade county narrowly, is waht pulled him over the top.
She is going to get allot more support now that the primary's is over...I look for her to get around fifty five percent of the vote here in Florida before it is all over....That is my prediction...Nelson is not that well liked here..If he shows up to debate her he is in trouble.....I also think the GOP will step in and support her because of her vote totals...If not they are going to make allot of folks mad....
Keep bashing Harris. All you and the liberal FL media are doing is giving Nelson a false sense of security and suppressing his vote turnout, thereby giving Harris an upset.
I'm kindly asking you to think before you post next time.
We have constantly told you about our grass-root movement for Kathrine Harris! The same grass-root movement that united around President Bush in 2004!!The same Florida grass-root will do the same with Ms. Kathrine Harris making her the new Jr. Senator of Florida!!!
Now is the time to unite around K.H. Hugh???
I think RNO1 was.
Top Republicans will support Harris because the lure of capturing a Senate seat is too good to pass up. The Bush brothers have already met with Harris earlier this summer.
Just a few thoughts........
Gore almost won in Florida in 2000, and, we lost seats in the senate and the house, and, Nelson beat McCollum, but not by a whole lot...........
This time around will be different. Republicans are fed up with the demonrats dragging their feet and trying to thwart everything Bush does, even at the expense of our DEDICATED MILITARY...........not a few independants, moderates, and, yes, some democrats are fed up, too..............Nelson has tried to keep a low profile in all of this, but he can't hide from his voting record........
I firmly believe that Harris has an outside chance, and that it is going to be close.
So that no matter what happens on election night......I can say to myself and feel certain that...
I did all I could to help her win!
Harris is going to beat Nelson by 10% eh? Well, I guess anything is possible. But you have a crystal ball shared by few, and nobody who makes who makes a serious hobby or living at this sort of thing.
U.S. House - District 13 - GOP Primary
Florida 324 of 326 Precincts Reporting - 99.39%
Name Party Votes Pct
Buchanan , Vern GOP 18,879 31.97
Detert , Nancy GOP 15,032 25.45
Hudson , Tramm GOP 13,912 23.56
Flanagan , Mark GOP 5,627 9.53
Clarke , Donna GOP 5,610
I agree.
If Harris clears 45%, she should consider that a victory.
And hopefully that will be the last we ever hear of her too.
Who's we? You got a mouse in your pocket?
I could care less about pollsters....They are not the most honest bunch of folks on the planet....Actually I think Harris feels she can get this number....I would not bet against her....Time will tell but I do win allot in Vegas.....
What kind of tier candidate is Harris? Joe Lieberman, three time incumbent and VP candidate couldn't even get 50% of the vote against a virtual unknown. He will probably win the general election.
If the GOP couldn't find a stronger candidate, that is not Harris' fault. I suspect that no one wanted to run against the incumbent, Nelson. In any event, I would wager that Harris will receive more than 35% of the vote. Nelson eked by McCollum last time. Nelson is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
No it is time for you to clean up a tradesports. Harris I think is posted at about a 5% to 10% chance to win, in an illiquid market.
You hit the nail on the head there.
When Harris loses, the Kool-Aid drinking fool on here will blame, RINOS, the MSM, the Trilateral Commission, the Rosicrucians, Elvis Presley, etc for her loss.
It's always someone elses fault. There'll be no acceptance that their candidate was incompetent and flawed from the very start.
This primary has been according to what I hear a low turn out for Florida..I think many folks do not turn out to the Nov election....It is going to take a Republican turnout but they have the best grass root group in the state.....She has a huge grass root organization and that is what got her here...
I have studied American elections for over two decades and, while I've never been employed in the industry, I have a good grasp of the dynamics behind them. I'm not infallibe, but I am very well-informed. And everything about Katherine Harris's campaign screams "Impending disaster."
I hope as fervently as Katherine Harris's supporters do that I'm wrong about this, and if you wind up being proven right, I'll be as happy about it as you.
No we want but one thing for sure. We will know we supported a conservative....Not a RINO....That is the most important thing for me....Sticking to my conservative principles....Well it is time for me to log out for the night...All of you or most of you....Once exception have a nice night......
