I have a word of advice for David Horsey:
Mr. Horsey, you are a cartoonist. You get paid to draw cartoons that may be funny to some people, and sometimes may even be insightful, but will always be just cartoons.
Your cartoons will never free the oppressed. Your cartoons will never cure cancer. Your cartoons will never save a human life. While America's finest men and women put their lives on the line every day for your freedom, you sit in your nice safe office and chuckle at your self-perceived cleverness as you draw your cartoons.
One hundred years from now, people will remember David Horsey not as a great statesman, and not as a champion of freedom and justice, but as someone who drew cartoons. And it is right that the world remember you thus, because that is all you are. Long before people forget Charles Schulz and Al Capp, the world will have forgotten David Horsey.
Don't let your Pulitzer Prize fool you: considering the source, it doesn't speak much for your independent thought. Your cartoons have no enduring quality to them. Like an old snapshot found in the gutter, your cartoons are meaningless to anyone who does not inhabit your group-thinking audience. In the food chain of intelligent thought, your cartoons are plankton.
You are, and will always be, a producer of cartoons buried in the Op-Ed section of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer- itself an irrelevant and failing backwater moonbat rag.
Have a nice day, Mr. Horsey, O insignificant creator of insulting cartoons.
A Pulitzer is now regarded as the ultimate achievement in anti-Americanism. Second only to the Nobel Peace Prize.
Scumbag Horsery needs to go to Iraq and draw some cartoons of mohamhead (pigpoop be upon him) and allah (pigpoop be upon it)
never underestimate a cartoon.
It's so gutsy to be a liberal at a newspaper.
I rather be termed a hick than a horse's ass like this guy.
The gripe i have, is the way Horsey portrays the 'right wing nut case with the crew cut.'
The guy looks just like John Tester (D)-Montana
Take a look for yourself.

That's insulting to Plankton.
Too bad he's a liberal. Horsey's an excellent cartoonist, his drawings are very lifelike.
David Who??
I agree. There is no good reason to insult the innocent plankton.
Mr. Horsey lost me when he defended his newspaper's cowardly editorial decision not to print the Mohammed cartoons (he's on the board) and then turned around and wrote a stinging editorial on wife abuse, ascribing it to conservative white people. No mention of the Moslems who keep their women illiterate, disempowered, and oppressed - Horsey just can't see that far. He's got a great pen but it's coupled to a mind that just isn't very intelligent. IMHO.
b)Horsey and the P-I only enjoy a subscription circulation these days of around 185,000 according to the last Metro survey. Not much out of a regional population count of 3.2 million. Their core audience is inside the city limits of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Seattle. The only way they can garner any attention in the American held 'burbs is being controversial.
c) I hope you sent that to the Letters to the Editor, although I doubt seriously it will be printed.
d) It's the Pravda-International. What did you expect?? :-)
The PI has an excellent website which I check daily for sports, local news, and weather. They should figure out how to make more money from the website--I don't want them to go belly-up. They are hopelessly liberal, but I don't pay much attention to their editorials. I delivered the paper in Seattle when I was a kid, so it is a 50 year residual loyalty. I miss the call of the paper sellers at the Gold Cup races-- peeAYYE PAAYpr!
I caught your commentary at Soundpolitics.com - It cracked me up then and has done so again.
Horsey's-a$$ is pretty full of himself and his work is highly over-rated. He's certainly no ted rall ;'}
LOL!
