[Congressman Dana] Rohrabacher has supported the Bush administration on the war in Iraq.Then, the protesters started shouting: "Bring them home! Now!"
As the pitch rose, the congressman ran out of his grey stucco home. He was barefoot.
"You just woke my babies!" Rohrabacher said. He and his wife, Rhonda, have 2-year-old triplets. Rohrabacher said he was on his back porch when he heard crying over a baby monitor.
"I am going to get all of you arrested if you don't leave right now."
"My son is in Iraq!" responded Tim Kahlor, 48, whose son is on his second tour of duty in Iraq until January 2007. "And he does not get much sleep!"
"Did he volunteer?" Rohrabacher yelled back. "Wait a minute, man, you are standing on my property. You are violating my rights… And you are violating my family's rights!"
Pat Alviso, a teacher whose 30-year-old Marine son will deploy in Iraq for his second tour of duty next week, said the activists tried to visit the congressman in his office last Wednesday, but were told that his calendar was full.
"Did somebody call my office ahead of time?" Rohrabacher asked.
"I met with people all last week, I talked to them about the war…. But unlike you, they were courteous, they were not arrogant." [emphasis added mine]

I know Dana and he has the guts to speak out about the right things. He needs to be reelected to shove the Left down the tubes even in Orange Co. The Dems , believe it or not, are almost equal in numbers with Pubs. So, this is not the easy race it was once. Dana needs help and going to his website is worth it on the House.gov

You mean if you joined the Military, you could be asked to fight in a war? Man, I thought the Goverment was just handing out free cash for college for just wearing a uniform and stuff.... Sarc......
My neighbors just had a kid, he cries all the time and even wakes us up. I can imagine how upset he'd be when he looses his peace and quiet.
Time to come out, take pictures, post them on the internet and call for people to find the addresses and phone numbers of these "protestors".

Yep, His home (as all homes of politicians) should be off limits for protests. Bad and dangerous things can happen. These people probably also want the govt "out of our bedrooms" and "women's bodies" but have no trouble intruding on this man's family and home. They should all be locked up.

Maybe in this case, but just think how cool it would be if those of us on the right went to the front lawn of some LEFTY congresscritter and berated him for his or her stand on abortion, taxes, OPPOSING our troops in Iraq, opposing drilling in ANWAR etc. etc. Maybe in this day in age, (sad to say)it takes being an uncouth a-hole to be heard.
I hear what you're both saying about conservatives going to their homes and protesting their liberal left views but to do so would only lower us to their level, IMO. Also by doing so harasses innocent neighbors which I am definitely against.
Great Post Tim it shows the arrogance of these mental midgets. I pray Rohrabacher remains steadfast.
By the looks of it, Rohrabacher does not live in a pretentious home. I guess this shows not all Republicans are fat cats living off the perks of government.
