#767, we might have to start taking out full page ads to remind people of the scuzziness of the last administration and especially how Blumenthal acting in his capacity as a Columnist/reporter was chief propagandist for the Clinton Administration. They loved his work so much they hired him when other Newspapers started criticizing him for flacking for the Clintons.
Brit also gave a nice smack down to Elizabeth Brumiller (I think she is the NYTimes gal who was on the panel), when in closing he stated that the media is at great fault for holding up Joe Wilson as a hero, when it was determined he was a liar by the Senate Select Intelligence Committee. She had a pretty smug look on her face after that comment. Again I say, there is no one better than Brit.
I missed you.
Take care ................................
Awesome post, jonnie!!! Saved for emailing the uninformed and indifferent sheeple, whose lack of information doesn't stop them from griping with such authority. Thank God for George W. Bush .. an imperfect man, the perfect President for US in these times.
It must be the fifth column , national council of churches (communist) chapter, who engineered that venue. I just can't imagine who else would think that having an Iranian politician speak there is a reasonable idea. I wonder who the audience will be. I hate to use the word 'congregation' for that appearance.
Sorry, I missed your comment. I'm rooting for Laffey, big time!
I only caught the first 15 minutes of the last half hour of ABC, the "roundtable" segment (I ignored Bo). Therefore I missed Chaffee/Laffey. It overlapped with the roundtable on Fox, and I'm not missing a possible Brit/Juan smack down (Brit was kind, taking pitty on the mentally challenged).
Fortunately they provide their audio as a podcast/MP3 as a freebie, so I know what my Labor Day is going to be taken up with.
#774, ROTFLMBO. Sufferin Succotash! Oh, or is that Thufferin Thuckatash!
#775, I concur totally with that assessment, and so should every sane person in this world.
It feels better when he puts it in reverse. LOL!
No problem. It was a couple of teeny lines in a huge thread. Chaffee sounded like an idiot. Once upon a time an innocent person was executed in RI so I am forever against the death penalty because I need to be consistent. How incredibly dumb. So if he sees his own family member murdered in front of his face and he has to be consistent about the death penalty even if he knows to a certainty that the killer is guilty. He is just against the death penalty, period. It has nothing to do with the mistake, which we all deplore.
" Even though I can't stand Fat Dim Tim, I did think he was pretty fair today in his questioning, he asked both of them tough questions. ...Fat Dim Tim is a liberal and wants Casey to win, he did ask him some tough questions "
I went back and rewatched parts of the slap down and you are correct- Russert did hammer Casey- especially on his fiscal plans.
Got him to admit that the Democrats have been obstructionists. BWAA-bet that had to hurt.
My first impression was that Santorum was great and Casey was awful.
Upon further review- Santorum was great and Casey was grotesquely horrible- the village idiot with a D after his name.
Good. You listen to the podcast, and save your eyesight! We haven't forgotten about you! I added you to my prayer list at Mass today.
Oh, and ummm... Don't read this, LOL!
I don't know if you ever surf over to redstate.com, but they always do a review of the sunday talk shows. Their take is this:
"Rick Santorum "debated" Bobby Casey junior on NBC's Meet the Press, but it was really Russert vs. Santorum, with Casey along for decoration, and Santorum won."
RIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!And re-imburse him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm listening to Brian"Witless"(WABC).So far,he has SCRUPULOUSLY avoided it!
Just remember Southack is the orginal author of most of that info.
Thank you for that post.
I am not the originator of the information; in fact, I was so glad to get it, I printed it out to save.
Must have been Dog.
I have been told by multiple people Southack is the author. :-)
He apparently testified under oath that Russert told him that Wilson's wife was in the CIA. Russert denies this. Interestingly, Russert's subordinate, Andrea Mitchell said, on the air, that "everyone in Washington knows [that Wilson's wife is in the CIA]". In denying that Russert told this to Libby, Russert (on the air) was very coy with the use of the name "Plame". He denied using the name Plame, but did not necessarily deny the discussion with Libby.
