McCain believes his own press releases. We'll just have to wait and see but I cannot fathom any Republican base supporting McCain in the primaries.

I'm sure it's a speech impediment, but, Casey's slurred style of speech is very disconcerting.
Santorum was awesome- he wasn't the usual wishy washy Republican in the face of Russert's predictable partisan hectoring.
Santorum was strong and on point. I think it's the best I have ever seen him. Other Republicans should take a cue and a clue from Santorum's conduct and stop cowering.
Russert and all the NBC tentacles make CNN look fair and balanced. They should just rename NBC to DNC and end the pretense.

It's not only him... it's just about all on our side in Washington. I wish Bush would invite Ann Coulter to the Camp David... and have her give a lecture to essential Republicans on how to treat the DBM/DNC.

Before I grin and bear watching ABC, I'll remind everyone of Stephanopolis on Plamegate from a while back, happily worst casing it for President Bush. I can't wait to see if little Georgie mentions it today.

I agree, Santorum was VERY strong. I think the republicans have finally gotten their nerve up to take on the liberal media. Santorum only let Russert interrupt him one time that I could see. All the rest of the intended interruptions Santorum stood his ground and wouldn't let Russert take him off message. Even though I can't stand Fat Dim Tim, I did think he was pretty fair today in his questioning, he asked both of them tough questions. Even though we all know in his heart, Fat Dim Tim is a liberal and wants Casey to win, he did ask him some tough questions.

Biden is outraged that this war in Iraq will soon have lasted longer than WWII. I have news for Senator (dumbest man in the senate) Biden. It is going to last for a long, long time. Where do you want to fight it, Senator.

He will veto any tax increase.

What is Casey? Is the current state treasurer? The man has run and lost five out of the six state races in PA and he's leading in PA in the polls? I don't get it.

Could we finally get a grip on reality? There IS no magic "Counter punch" anyone can throw that is going to miraculously covert the Junk Media to the path of righteousness. OK, TURN OFF the Junk Media. They are your blood foes. Listening to them is the equivalent of of listening to Radio Berlin for News in 1943.

The IS no magic key or plan anyone anywhere can ever do to covert the Junk Media to the paths of righteousness. Conservatives should QUIT whining for one and throw all their organizational and economic muscle behind the NEW media.

Simply QUIT buying into the Junk Media's marketing propaganda. The top 5 Conservative Talk Radio hosts reach MORE people then the nightly news broadcasts or any of the cable networks. Fox News REPEATE of Bill OReiiley's show draws MORE viewers then the TOP rated shows on MSNBC!

I simply cannot understand this panic stricken fear among Conservatives of a failing media. Why should the people who won the last 4 elections despite EVERYTHING the junk media could be throw at them be so panic stricken about what the political LOSERS are doing?

Santorum I thought did really well.

This was also my first time that I have seen Casey. He seems very robotic and probably had to practice from his DNC fact sheet for two weeks 24/7 before today's program.

I think he came across fairly strong myself, yet, he needs a course in LD debate. Bob Casey teed himself up several times and the Senator missed the shots completely. Casey said as a direct response to Russert's question what is your plan: "We need more accountability in Iraq." 

The Senator should have responded by looking directly to the camera... "My fellow Pennsylvanians, this man just said that if we had more accountability in Iraq, the terrorists, insurgents, Iranian infiltrators, call them what you like, but if we had just a bit more accountability... they would simply give up. Are you even thinking about voting for this?"

Secondly, Russert keeps asking the question "If you knew back then what you know today would you have voted to go to war in Iraq?"  He should have responded by asking this rhetorical question: "What do we know today that we didn't know in the spring of 2003?  That we'd only lose 2600 men in 3-1/2 years instead of 10,000 in 3-1/2 months as we thought? Would we not have gone in if we knew that Iran was going to stir up a civil war?  Would we not have gone in if we knew that only 80% instead of 100% of eligible voters in Iraq would elect a civil government?  Would we not have gone in if we knew that we'd wind up killing Uday, Qsay, Al Zaqarwi and have to put Hussein on trial?  Would we have cowered and told the world that the greatest military on the planet is too pussified to put up with improvised explosive devices the cause of most of our casualties? Leaders are Sunday afternoon quarterbacks, not Monday morning QBs.

Thirdly, Rick sat quietly and listened to this guy spew his talking points. However, Casey couldn't remain quiet and kept interrupting. Santorum simply should have looked at the camera again and said... "Mr. Casey, you are rude and not enough of a gentleman to be in the Senate of the United States of America."

End of ballgame.

CALLER: It's going on a lot over there, Rush, and unfortunately, like I said, you get a lot of these -- taking a word from you -- Drive-By politicians, they come over for a couple days, literally, because what I did I can't really say over in the Navy, but I was able to see schedules and things like that and you have these politicians that come over for a couple days and then they're going back to the States and they think that they're getting a full picture of what's going on over there as opposed to us who are out on the streets day in and day out living amongst the Iraqi people, and I'll send you, as I told your screener, I'll send some photos and let you see the pictures of these kids and their faces and how happy they are to get and receive these clothes.

We know, and a lot of us all the time would sit over there and say we don't believe the polls over there, too, that sit and say that only, you know, 30% believe in President Bush and what he's doing, because we just don't believe those polls. You know, the vast, vast majority of the military is very aware of how much support that we are getting back here in America, and we're proud to do it -- and that's why you see people signing back up, even after their tours are done, to go back over again.
