Thanks! Still looking. I am converting to mac, so I am slower with the commands.
:-)
:-) I think so, but then my tagline provides full disclosure. LOL
President Bush walks with his top economic advisors after their annual meeting at Camp David, Maryland August 18, 2006
Kristol sort of defends Powell and Armitage because Fitzy asked them not to speak out. Brit speaks truth to power, as always. He says essentially there is no excuse for Armitage not speaking out, not then, not now. Elizabeth (NYTimes) says, in response to the fact that Fitzy knew all along who the leaker was, Rove and Libby talked to reporters also, so its fair. Brit reminds everyone the only leak that mattered was the one to Novak, who printed the report. Brit says the investigation should have been over as soon as Fitzy knew Armitage was the leaker. Discussion about Joe WIlson's credibility: Juan says Wilson's credibility is hurt (Shock)!
I have to believe Tony Snow would hold the press accountable if it were his decision alone. The fact that he's not shows me the White House has him holding his fire and not pressing the issue.
He may still be pressing it behind the scenes, but not openly. We'll know that if the White House press corps stops jumping to so many conclusions and blaming President Bush for everything that happens they don't like politically.
I have noticed the White House press corps has tempered their vitriol since Tony has been on the job.
They're not doing it. Every time someone says Bush lied to get us into this war, they should say "what's your evidence, Joe Wilson? We now know it was Wilson who lied. Your "evidence" is crap." But they let the lie just flop around on the table.
Important thought from a conservative talk show host: When you negotiate with evil you lose.
We have to support the attempts of people to live in freedom.
BTW, I read an article this week about absolute carnage happening in South Africa - ordinary murders (not a war) are happening at a rate of 51 per day. That is five times the average of murders in the USA.
No news coverage of this because SA has to be under the radar of the media who will not tell the world when blacks kill blacks.
shh, capturing the #2 alqueda operative is a a MSM secret (just like Armitage)
BTW does ANYONE trust the fox news dynamics poll? itcorrectnes is 0 to what number wrong?
Doesn't get much better than this!!
I see we agree. That is exactly how he comes across.
I agree that State doesn't make policy and that it's neither autonomous nor a monolith. But I will add that it is a leviathan and the ability to clean house is challenging. State provides research and it's not unusual for the researcher's predilections from seeping into support documentation.
I am not saying that State controls policy or the WH. What I am saying is that there is a contingent in State that works to undermine this administration's approach.
Reporters don't go to south africa, ITS DANGEROUS FOR REPORTERS THERE!
(plus they have no blame america first friends there)
The Schmuckster...LOLOLOL.
See you later Peach
That 's because he is one with that gang.
Okay, let's pretend that we are talking about a private sector business. Someone says something incredibly wrong. That person escalates it up to the manager, which occurred within one department, but the manager does not escalate it up to the CEO but only to the corporate attorney?
It's fair that Powell should have told Justice. It's not right that he didn't tell W as the wrong man was being ruined.
Will you or someone here please tell me WHAT lie(s) Libby is accused of? I know that he said (under oath) he had talked w/Russert and Russert in a telephone "interview" (not under oath) w/Fitzgerald denied that he and Libby had talked. Lie or faulty memory? Russert lying? Or...?
