Craddock of the U.S. Southern Command as saying there were indications of "extremist contacts" on Margarita Island, a popular beach getaway northeast of Caracas. Chavez denied such terrorist activity and called the comments part of a U.S. plan "to justify any type of aggression against our country."
Calling Craddock an "imperialist general," Chavez said, "it's a lie that in Margarita there are Arab terrorists and that Margarita and Venezuela are a nest of Arab terrorism."

Snip: Until now rival intelligence agencies and the family of Omar Khan Sharif, 27, from Derby, have argued over how he died after his body was found washed up on a beach.
Islamic militants claimed that Israeli secret agents captured then murdered him. But Israeli authorities deny the accusation, claiming that Sharif was probably killed by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which used him and another British-born Islamic student to carry out the bombing in April 2003.
Western security chiefs believe that Sharif killed himself after failing in his martyrdom mission, but his family have complained of a cover-up. Yesterday a coroner in Derby said that it would never be known for certain how Sharif had ended up in the sea after his failed attack.

If that comes to pass, the rights of non-Muslims will be radically curtailed, and they will be required to pay a special tax, the jizya. Last year, Beth lehem councilor Hassan Al Masalmeh declared the authorities' intention to implement such a tax. The preamble to Hamas's 1988 founding covenant declares that not only Jews but also Christians "are smitten with vileness wheresoever they are found" unless they submit to Muslim rule and sharia. Article 13 emphasizes, "The Jews will never be pleased with you, neither the Christians, until you follow their religion."
We can expect to see more forced conversions, and other travesties, as spreading radical Islam shapes not only terrorist groups but also governments, and we need the religious education to understand it. Currently, as reporting on the Fox duo shows, much of the media is intellectually unequipped to report on the Muslim world.
