Radioactive Scare in North London

The search continued today for a missing London woman after a strange series of events which led to the stunning discovery of radioactive materials iher north end home last night. ( Sept 5th ).
Police have been scouring the city's north end and have even brought in a helicopter to help in the search for 68 year old Annette Serdarevich who suffers from dementia.
The area around 1643 Kathryn Ave. was shut down for most of the night as the hazardous materials unit responded to a level three emergency - the most serious type.
During a search of the premises, police found a chemistry lab in the rear of the house.
They found small quantities of radioactive materials and other chemicals stored in a refrigerator in the home.
As a precaution many neighbouring homes were evacuated.
A private chemical disposal company worked through the night to dispose of the contaminants.
The missing woman wasn't at the home when officers arrived looking for her yesterday.
However, her husband, 82-year-old Bogdan Serdarevich, was found in the residence in poor physical condition and was rushed to hospital.
Annette Serdarevich has been missing now for three days.
She's 68-years old, white, five feet seven inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.
She has short dyed blond hair.
Police say she may not be aware of her surroundings and may appear disoriented.

UN pandering to these Islamic regimes absolutely makes them feel stronger (maybe even invincible).
Why we bother participating in a group of nations that consistently vetoes everything we stand for is beyond me (and that's not even bringing up 1) their inability to complete assigned tasks; and 2) the corruption within the UN. The food for oil scandal has been swept under the proverbial rug and the perpetrators of the scandal are apparently still running the store when resignations and reparations would have been a rational response. Sighing and shaking head in disbelief. No wonder the axis of evil countries have no respect for UN leadership and their requests.

New York City remains a ripe target

Treasury Designation Targets Hizballah’s Bank
The U.S. Department of the Treasury today designated two financial companies and one individual that provide financial support to the Iran-funded Hizballah terrorist network.
"Bayt al-Mal and the Yousser Company function as Hizballah's unofficial treasury, holding and investing its assets and serving as intermediaries between the terrorist group and mainstream banks," said Stuart Levey, Treasury's Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI). "Institutions considering dealing with these two entities are now on notice as to their true character."
Bayt al-Mal and Yousser Company for Finance and Investment, and Bayt al-Mal head Husayn al-Shami were named as Specially Designated Global Terrorists pursuant to Executive Order 13224, designed to deter financial and material support to terrorists and their facilitators.
Bayt al-Mal is a Hizballah-controlled organization that performs financial services for the terrorist organization. Bayt al-Mal operates under the direct supervision of Hizballah Secretary General Hasan Nasrallah. As Hizballah's main financial body, Bayt al-Mal serves as a bank, creditor, and investment arm for Hizballah. The central headquarters of Bayt al-Mal was located in Hizballah's stronghold in Beirut's southern suburbs.
Bayt al-Mal utilizes the Yousser Company for Finance and Investment to secure loans and finance business deals for Hizballah companies.
Husayn al-Shami, the head of Bayt al-Mal, is a senior Hizballah leader who has served as a member of Hizballah's Shura Council and as the head of several Hizballah-controlled organizations, including the Islamic Resistance Support Organization. Shami is also responsible for foreign donations to Hizballah fundraising organizations.
Today's action prohibits transactions between U.S persons and the designated entities and also freezes any assets those entites may have under U.S. jurisdiction.

Background on Hizballah
Hizballah is a Lebanon-based terrorist group. Until September 11, 2001, Hizballah was responsible for more American deaths than any other terrorist organization.

CNN: 'Suspicious Device' Found in Vehicle at Pentagon
CNN is reporting that what they call a 'suspicious device' has been found in a vehicle in the south parking lot at the Pentagon.
CNN's Pentagon reporter, Jaime McIntyre, is reporting on the air that the device has what police believe to be some sort of detonator attached to it.
According to 11Alive's sister station, WUSA Washington, the Pentagon has released a statement: "During regular Pentagon parking lot patrol, a car was found to have suspicious characteristics, in the south parking. We've cordoned off the area, re-routed traffic and are continuing to investigate.
Officials say the incident is forcing the re-routing of traffic in the area at the height of rush hour, and may be affecting subway traffic in the area.
