DU must be boiling over with threads about this! Oh, wait, what am I saying, it's DU--they're no doubt filling the net with support for that movie about assassinating W.
GWB ought to fire Fitzgerald, and tell everyone it was because Fitzgerald is an idiot who spent years investigating a case where the answer was already known.
It would get a lot of publicity, and confront the pro-Wilson deceivers and remind Americans what is at stake.

NO, there is no question at all to those who are not so firmly locked into their partisan political dogma of Hate Bushism they simply cannot confess their gross errors.
I suspect Fritz just punted. HE knew after all the media hype and hysterics that he would get the June Media reaming to end all political reaming if he came out and said "Nothing to this, all manufactured hysteria by Democrat activists".
So he punted, he found SOMTHING to accuse someone in the White House about so they, not HE, would be the target of the Leftist hissy fit when Fritzmus turned out to be Fritzbust.
Pigs are flying by my window
Unlike the more truthful Washington Post account, the NYT couldn't be bothered to mention that the Bush administration had no reason to discredit Joe Wilson.
The Senate Intelligence Committee Chairmen and their report on Iraq war intelligence make mention of the little tidbit that what Joe Wilson testified to privately actually confirmed what the CIA was saying. Iraq was indeed trying to purchase yellowcake uranium from Niger.
So when Wilson lied repeatedly to the American public about his findings in Niger, all the administration had to do was send out a spokesman to detail that Wilson was lying to the public.
Was Armitage Judith Miller's source as well? If true, the New York Times knew the leak investigation was a sham too, but still continued to attack the Bush Administration anyway.
Shouldn't we be prosecuting everyone who lied to the prosecutor about Armitage telling them??
Every reporter who lied to the public about Cheney should be fired.
Pray for W and Our Troops
I have a question, did Artimage write this up himself, and phone it in to the NY Times? It sure sounds like it.
Remember that a reporter for the Times went to jail and Fitz knew all along who leaked the name, and let people twist in the wind. Even though these dimwits will continue to hate President Bush, and even though they still want to damage him, Rove, and Rumsfeld, at some level, somewhere, somehow, a lot of people are livid now about this stunt by Fitz. It has turned into one of the most arrogant, brutal, and abusive uses of prosecutorial discretion in a long long time, even including that dumbass in Durham.
This so-called "inquiry" had nothing to do with anyone revealing the name of a CIA desk jockey. It was all about politics and the Communists in the "DemocRATic" party attacking President Bush and the Republicans. Somebody needs to be taken out and shot.
Wilson must be feeling lonelier still. The Times isn't going to be able to muddy the waters forever and when they clear all of the lies are going to be undeniable. If the Times can't use him to bash Bush then he has no further use at all. Perhaps, as someone suggested last night, he can work this to a cozy tenured faculty position at an Ivy League diploma factory.
You've got to love this, though, just for the sheer comic relief of seeing the Left stab each other in the back.
The New York Times and the Washington Post only gave a sh*t about Joe and Val Wilson because they could use them as a conduit to "get" the Bush Administration. Hell, I bet that they knew the Wilsons were full of it from the get-go.
Now that the entire affair has been exposed to be a fraud and a sham, and *their* "reputations" are at stake, the WaPo and NYT are throwing Joe and Val over the side to save their hides.
And tonight, on OlberCreep's show, the Wilson's lawyer was ripping the WaPo for the "disconnect" between today's editorial and the coverage of the leak investigation on their news pages.
Of course, there's a disconnect *now*!! The WaPo and the NYT are trying to bury their complicity in the whole thing and are using these two editorials to wash their hands.
Hilarious.
watch for the spin here folks. in a strange way, our side now wants the Libby trial to go forward. some interesting information might surface in testimony there, in light of these recent revelations.
if you see the left turning on Fitzgerald, its a signal that they want the Libby charges dropped - because they fear the trial. since the whole Fitz GJ was a setup and a perjury trap to begin with, he's not going to drop the charges out of some sense of moral or legal ethics - he didn't have any going into it. if he drops the charges now, its because the left fears revelations at the trial.
Get a load of Armitage's version via the NY Times.
I think the republicans should have an investigation into Patrick Fitzgerald....I think he was paid off by the democratic party to keep this investigation open to see if he couldn't snar Vice President Cheney or President Bush into something...
FULL MONTE guys....total investigation for at least 2 years.....call all the dems in and have them testisfy before a grand jury....starting with William Jefferson and Hillary Rodham Clinton.....
