August 31, 2006 Wal-Mart asks for, and receives, permission to join homosexual marriage group.
Wal-Mart comes out of the closet
Dear Reader,
Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world, has asked for and received permission to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The NGLCC is a leading promoter of homosexual marriage.
Read "Wal-Mart Partners With Gay and Lesbian Group" here: http://www.afa.net/walmartadage.htm
Although Wal-Mart has never excluded homosexuals from being employees, customers, or suppliers, the company wanted to be more closely identified with promoting the homosexual agenda. Wal-Mart is now a "corporate member" of the NGLCC, putting their approval on the NGLCC's efforts to abolish the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. A Wal-Mart vice president will serve as an advisor to the NGLCC, helping them promote homosexual marriage.
Wal-Mart agreed to give $25,000 to the NGLCC and to pay for two conferences scheduled by NGLCC. Also, Wal-Mart will give homosexual-owned businesses special treatment when making purchases. Companies not owned by homosexuals will be moved down the list.
NGLCC called Wal-Mart's action "part of the company's ongoing commitment to advancing diversity (homosexuality) among all of its associate, supplier and customer bases."
Wal-Mart is offering the same kind of support for homosexual marriage which Ford Motor Company has been giving to homosexual groups for years.

Homosexual activists outlined their plans in the 1980s. This is part of the plan.
If just five million American families, approximately four people per household (that's 20 million people, about 6.665% of the U.S. population), who shop at Walmart and spend an average of $350 per month, very conservative I believe, stop shopping there and spend that $350 per month at other places that don't support the gay agenda, that $350 per month per family for five million families, comes to an astonishing $1 BILLION 750 MILLION in retail and grocery sales that WalMart would lose per MONTH JUST from five million families boycotting this. That's an amount that would be unacceptable for even WalMart to lose just because of some radical gay agenda. And the real bottom line is WalMart is in the business of making money, not furthering the gay agenda.
"Also, Wal-Mart will give homosexual-owned businesses special treatment when making purchases. Companies not owned by homosexuals will be moved down the list."
And AFA is more than factual and honest in their reports and has never been shown to have mislead on anything. If you find proof that anything in that article is false, post proof of it. Otherwise, I've fact checked this more than enough. In addition to my father-in-law who's worked with WalMart for over 14 years, has known about this for a year, and is not happy about it, and himself is no longer going to shop there. If you can prove anything I am posting is false, I invite you to prove it. Otherwise, just because you disagree, that doesn't make me wrong based solely on the fact you disagree.
I never said it wasn't capitolism. But in "gool old American capitalism" there are prices to be paid when businesses make a wrong decision. Most Americans do not agree with the gay agenda. Thereby, most of WalMart shoppers do not agree with the gay agenda. More than most as conservatives are always insulted by liberals as being redneck ignorant WalMart shoppers. So it's safe to say that a significant majority of WalMarts shoppers do not approve of the gay agenda. You are not seeing the bredth of this issue. It goes far beyond a little donation. FAR beyond that. The body of my posts relay that, and I refuse to repeat myself. Read all my posts. If you don't get where I'm coming from after reading ALL my posts here, then nothing else I would say additionally would make any difference. Values do not have a price. And I won't sell out my values for a little savings at WalMart if they're going to sell their lot with the kind of immoral deviant mindset that has led the the destruction of every great civilization in history. My beliefs are not for sale. And most Americans share that belief with me. WalMart will learn this lesson the hard way. Boycotts work. It's reality.
The "article" I posted is the exact letter I got from the American Family Association yesterday. I didn't change anything in it, other than replacing my name with "reader", because, well it just made sense posting it here to not have just my name. :) I sure hope and pray that you're right and it gets all over. It definitely needs to for sure. And it wouldn't take many Americans to make a BIG difference. Math is simple on this. :)
I just meant I've seen a few articles about this in the last couple of days... Wasn't sure if it was the "exact same" or not. The important thing is that plenty of people find out what Walmart is up to!
Thanks for taking the time to post and comment.
Only a lover of death would be pleased, which you seem to be.
Worship Him everywhere and always, good news for everyone; hell for the ears of those againts Him.
So don't anyone tell me that Boycotts don't work! Even the Mighty Walmart was forced to back off their pro-gay move to get more sales, less then two months after joining the national gay and lesbian chamber of commerce. Without those donations, they'll be dropped from that organization, and that's what caused the boycott in the first place. Losing hundreds of millions in sales got their attention, and cozying up to a bunch of queers wasn't worth that price.
But this was the last straw for me with Walmart. I've been annoyed for years with their apathetic customer service and increasingly not being able to find employees who speak English to ask a question. And things not being stocked, and messy shelves, etc. So frankly, I'm going to keep on shopping at other places, other than Target which is even worse than WalMart, has lousy return policies, and doesn't allow the Salvation Army or "Christmas" or pictures of local military personnel serving abroad in their stores, in addition to their queer agenda. And actually, I've found that it cost us MUCH LESS shopping at smaller local stores than I thought. Brookshires is Christian owned, with the local Christian station playing on the intercom, and their prices are only marginally above WalMarts, and other local stores in some cases are lower with that stores card, so we're going to just keep on getting stuff from other places. Considering WalMart gets basically ALL their stuff from China, I never have felt comfortable getting everything from WalMart anyway. And the people running WalMart now a days are a bunch of sluts. Sam Walton would never have approved of that kind of trash and their policies running WalMart. So their little bid for the queer dollar has permanently cost them mine.
I'm just happy that this boycot worked so well and forced WalMart to back down. I didn't think it would work as big as WalMart did, but clearly millions of Christians boycotted them and that hit WalMart where it counted and forced them to their knees. Very entertaining. :) Boycotts work when the reason for the boycott is a good one backed by conservative values. This is proof. WalMart certainly didn't back off their gay position out of the goodness of their hearts. That's for sure.
Wal-Mart had growth of 1.5 last quarter. Target weighed in with 4.6.
It's like TV . If you don't want to support Time Warner, don't watch CNN or subscribe to HBO.
If you don't support Google or Wall Mart management, don't fund their service or buy their products.
Many of us practice this form of protest by never paying a penny to see a movie that includes:
Susan Saradon
Whoopie Goldberg
George Clooney
Richard Dryfuss
Tim Robbins
Sean Penn
or any film directed by Oliver Stone. Seems to work too.
Take this article and wrap old fish in it. I wouldn`t be surprised if the Unions weren`t behind it.
Yikes that is a big difference. Doesn't WalMart typically come in decently ahead of Target?
Oh, and I got it from the AFA update email. I accidentally deleted mine and hadn't gotten it from my wife's email yet. When I do I'll post it so the specifics are available. It came out just a couple days before Thanksgiving and they asked everyone to stop the boycott because WalMart gave in and stopped all contributions to the gay organizations. The lowest quarterly profit in seven years got their attention I guess. Lowest since the Clinton recession. How appropriate. :) It's sad, but what you said is pretty accurate. We do what we do 40+ a week, and those higher up do what they want, despite what most people (US) think, even though we're the ones that can break their back if we were of a mind to. At least WalMart blinked on this one. Till next time. The leadership of that company has really slid to the bottom of the barrel the past ten or so years. It's sad considering what Sam Walton and most of his family was like.
I must be misunderstanding your post. Because it makes no sense. Can you clarify please? WalMart has no unions. And read the original post. WalMart contributed to the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and asked to join them, and said they would give special discounts to gay groups and organizations that other groups, non-gay or Christian groups, couldn't get. It's black and white and factual. And now WalMart has backed off of it and said they won't do it anymore. So how can they stop doing something that they weren't already doing? Seems to me that if they said they'd stopped, they must have started at some point.
I appreciate your post, and your tagline. I recall when Wal-Mart was only in the small towns, providing jobs for people who needed them and working only 'normal' business hours selling American made products.
Too bad times have changed.
wal-Mart predicted 2 to 4 percent sales growth in Oct. Then, lowered its projection to 1.3 percent. And finally turned in....only half of one percent
From what I've heard a lot of the big merchants, Best Buy, Target, CostCo, JCPenney etc. have copied the low price Wal-Mart model, but figured out a way to add consumer value, i.e. Best Buy trains (trains!) its employees to know about the products. JCPenney has three levels of merchandise, private-label brands like Arizona jeans; and mid-level, brands like Levis and Dockers; and upper level stuff like Liz Claiborne.
