WHO is the Zombie behind ZOMBIETIME?
He claims to be a "photoblogger" who lives in San Francisco. For fun, he attends protests by people of opposite political inclinations to his own — the extreme left. He turns their placards against them, takes photographs and posts the images on his site.
In this vein, his happy snaps of the 2006 World Naked Bike Ride are well worth a look. But recently he has turned investigator, challenging photo agencies such as Reuters over the alleged manipulation of images and — infamously — arguing that the bombing of an ambulance in Lebanon was a hoax.
Last month, another right-wing blogger ("Blonde Sagacity, the conservative that liberals hate to love"), claimed a rare interview with the Zombie, in which he chatted about his anonymity, his tricks to obtain pictures (sometimes the camera is hidden, sometimes he plays tourist), and his motivations.
"The anti-war movement is really an anti-American movement," he told Blonde.
"The media (try) to demoralise the country by portraying the anti-war movement as reasonable, widespread, and destined for victory. But in fact it is a hate-fuelled fringe movement that only maintains even a hint of credibility due to media misrepresentation. That's something I'm trying to correct."
Just how successful the Zombie has been in spreading the message is not clear. The site technorati.com — which measures the connections and mentions that build credibility in the web — show it as a low-wattage player.
Yesterday it had 955 blog posts, while Melbourne conservative Andrew Bolt had 4260, and the influential US Drudge Report more than 41,000.
Of course, this was in San Fran....
Operating out of San Francisco puts him in a target rich environment.

"Zombie" ( http://www.zombietime.com ) should certainly be thanked for his hilarious photojournalism on the wierdness that is Berkeley, and the World Naked Bike Ride, and all that.
But along with the folks at http://www.ProtestWarrior.com we have Zombie to thank for documenting the shadowy elements of the antiwar movement, such as the Communist Party organizers directing media photo-ops ( http://www.zombietime.com/sf_rally_september_24_2005/anatomy_of_a_photograph/ ) and the executive participation of the North-Korea-linked Stalinist group, A.N.S.W.E.R., which both organizes, publicizes and contributes placards, posters and banners to these protests. Though this article below ends on a snide note dismissive of Zombie's influence on the basis of "blog posts" compared to those earned by Drudge and Andrew Bolt, the fact is that Zombie is on the battlefront documenting events first-hand and pulling the curtains back to reveal the covert actors propelling the fringe Left. His influence far exceeds any metric based on web hits. Besides, he doesn't provide fresh content everyday, as Drudge and Bolt do.

One of his best was his showing how the MSM (which zeroed in on a protestor's face) intentionally cropped out the uniformed communists that were directing the protest.

Those were some of the smallest penises I have ever seen or imagined. Not that I've seen a whole lot mind you, but enough to know that you can't butter with a toothpick baby.
The mere fact that this article was written means that Zombie has done more damage than the Lefto-commies are letting on. GO ZOMBIE!!!!

Not much.
Zombie has been identified as female on LGF, and also to me personally by another conservative San Francisco counter-protester.
What they don't understand is that Zombie gets linked from places like free republic, little green footballs, powerline, michelle malkin and tens of other blogs, who put most of his post on their websites/blogs.
This causes a exponential increase in those who know what's being posted on Zombie's site. Those who may not actually visit Zombie's site.
