THE PRESIDENT IS COMING UP AGAIN ON C-SPAN, for those of us who haven't seen it yet...
Cream Cheese Frosting
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Combine all ingredients, mix until smooth.
When we were in DC the president who I will not name was in office...there were no tours as they had a huge tent on the WH lawn for a state dinner....I couldn't even get good pictures of the WH.......darn it!
you only add several drops of milk at a time to make it as thick as you want...i start with maybe a 1/4 of a cup, then just add a few drops to get it where i want it.
That sounds about right...I usually don't follow a recipe...now I'm gonna have to go to the store and buy a spice cake.....cream cheese frosting is great on a red velvet cake too.....yummy!
Thanks for the info
my mother-in-law use to make a cake called "Better than Sex Cake", when she died the recipe went with her...man it was good, does anyone have a recipe for it???
I do not use milk with my butter cream icing just sugar and butter as I do not like vanilla.
That is like me with butter cream I just add the 2 ingredients together and until the texture and taste is right.
The recipe looks okay to me, I don't think anything has been left out.
Of course. I forgot about turnip greens and pot licker. How could I forget that? That is the best thing yet with cornbread.
Can't help you on the wood storage problem. I don't know what the local regulations are. I would see what your neighbors do. I was thinking you might get some eight inch concrete blocks and look around at the lumber yard for three inch wire mesh used for reinforcing concrete slabs and lay that on top of the blocks. This would prevent the rats from hiding under the wood pile. But I may be way off since I don't know what the local requirements are.
just remember to have the mixer on low.....powdered sugar will fly if you don't have enough liquid in it. As you get more liquid in it you can turn it on a higher level. I'm a dumper as a cook, my duaghters hate that, they'll ask for a recipe, and I have no idea how much to add. I cook by look. Speaking of that DUMP cake is very good and very easy!
Recipezaar has several - maybe one of them is similar

The ingredients were probably better when you were younger less preservatives and chemicals in it.
Ypu could try butter rum flavor...that's pretty good
Well I always like hers better then mine, must be a mom trick. LOL, I have not been blessed to be a mom, and I am convinced that there is some super secret handbook floating about that I am not privy to. :)
I have that recipe around here somewhere....I'll look..
My friend build a little wood store on the back of his garden shed so it looks like part of the shed. He then transfers a small amount of the wood to his garage to dry out a bit before bringing it indoors.
