I am proudly endorsing Tom Gallagher for Governor of Florida. In a day when moral standards are up for grabs, Tom will be a champion for the family. He will work to provide genuine school choice for every Florida child, and he understands that the courts must be reigned in.

Dr. James Dobson National Conservative Leader

The voters in Florida, and only the voters in Florida, will decide this election.

So let's drop Terri

Except you then proceeded to go on for another flipping paragraph...

Let's talk about Crist's lies

Well, how about actually supplying evidence that he is lying?

To begin please see my last 2 posts.

Which contain your assertions, but no evidence to support those assertions.

Provide evidence.

It's been pretty well established that we have DU types come here and establish their bona fides as conservatives and then when a campaign heats up, start to trash a candidate.

There have even been rumors of candidates paying posters to come here. Some freepers have multiple screen names and talk with themselves under their other screen name(s), if you know what I mean. That way they set up an echo chamber. Sometimes they forget to change computers/screen names and we've found them posting to themselves. Oops. LOL.

I'm pretty suspicious of freepers who take extreme positions that I've never in real life heard people make.

"The voters in Florida, and only the voters in Florida, will decide this election."

That's absolutely true. The rest of us are just interested spectators. Both the Governorship of Florida and the U.S. Senate seat that is up for a vote, however, are very important to everyone in the United States.

That is the reason for the interest in these elections, and it's a valid reason.

For example, the Katherine Harris candidacy for the U.S. Senate seems doomed to fail. It would be a miracle if she won. Yet, there are those posting here who call her primary rivals the worst sorts of names, despite their being Republicans. What's up with that. It's almost seems as if they cannot have their particular favorite elected, they'd rather see a Democrat win.

The same may well be true in the Governor's race. By poisoning people's minds against the current leader for the GOP primary, these same people may well convince voters to either stay away from the election or vote for the Democrat. Calling the likely winner of the GOP primary a murderer just doesn't seem to me to be a good strategy.

That's where my interest lies in these Florida races. Some posters seem determined to malign the very GOP candidates who may win the primaries. Very bad politics, indeed.

Some of those posters may be sincere. And some are likely trolls. Long time sleeper trolls who really roll out the posts during a campaign.

Sherri,

The spin machine keeps going on.

When challenged with his stance and sickening condescension on civil unions, you and Charlie boy run from the issue and quickly change the topic to gay marriage - which he's against as long as it's not popular.

Most sickening is his cry of "I'm pro-life, I'm pro-life"
He's pro-choice! He should either switch his position or be a man and have the balls to say what he supports. Either works better than "I'm pro-life but want the law to stay pro-choice and would never even support a waiting period. But I'm pro-life."

What's next? Barney Frank is for lowering taxes because he voted against a 75% hike? Really?

I've said a million times that Gallagher openly admits that he was a moderate until he had a kid. Even then he was against partial-birth abortion (the difference is he was honest enough to call himself pro-choice - just as he's been consistantly pro-life since becoming a father), against civil unions and against reckless spending. Charlie's for all of those now, not in 1994.

Your candidate is far more liberal than any other who's ever run for the GOP and the amount he and his supporters seek to obfuscate is laughable to the point of being deplorable.

I hadn't noticed anything like that. Maybe I'm just naive. I did notice some similarities in posting styles in this thread, though, now that you mention it. There are two posters, and I can't really remember both their screennames, who use similar, odd patterns of capitalizing whole words for emphasis. Still, that's such a common practice with many people, I didn't make any particular connection. If I had time, I'd go back and have a closer look, but I have to leave shortly.

OK, I did go back through the thread. The two posters were davidosborne and Floriduh Voter. Both use internal word capitalization for emphasis.

But, their posting styles are quite different. Their diction is different, as well. I don't think they can be the same person.

Lol - Are you illiterate or just dense?

Assertions? No, just what Charlie Horse said. I'm supporting the candidate who didn't go on the radio this year and say he's ok with gay adoptions.

Assertions? Seems you missed Charlie Horse in the debates, especially the first one, in which he kept saying "I'm pro-life" until the cows came home but then said he supports Roe v Wade and is even against waiting periods.

Forget the pro-life part? How about running someone against the Dems who isn't a compulsive liar and an egomaniac?

Another ignorant fool. Keep posting though.

Didn't you watch the first debate?

He said himself that he opposes changing the law and is even against waiting periods. He said all this right after saying he's pro-life!

Btw This isn't just about abortion. It's about honesty. There's hardly an issue that he hasn't used double talk or tried to run from his stance.

Assertions? No, just what Charlie Horse said.

No, it's what YOU say Crist said. What Crist actually said may be something else entirely. Given who you pal around with, that's the way to bet.

I don't live in FL. But I've seen freepers provide links to back up their assertions and I'd think if he did what you tell me he did, there would have been newspaper articles written about it. I'd like to see a link.

You're actually both right. Schiavo prefers Crist in the primary over Gallagher but endorses Davis for Gov.

Crist's inaction in that case was one thing. His running away from Terri Schindler's father when the two almost crossed paths, like he does with so many issues, is more telling as is the arrogance he displayed toward Mr. Schindler.

But, ok - no more about Schiavo. Just about Charlie's lies.

Around FR, we ask people to back up their statements. That you aren't backing yours up hasn't gone unnoticed.

Watch the damn debate.

I'm sure someone can post a link.

If you admittedly don't know anything about this, why comment?
