As soon as Floridians hear that Dr. Dobson and 100 social conservatives in Florida endorsed Tom Gallagher, they decide to vote for Tom and there have been some defections from the Crist Camp too.

He needs some help but endorsements are all but useless.

Way too many Florida Republicans don't even know who Dr. Dobson is, let alone allowing him to decide their vote.They just aren't really into politics like we are and decisions are probably more the result of TV & radio ads more than any other (outside the home) factor.

I think your characterization of Dr. Dobson is uncalled for... you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.. Dr. Dobson is respected by a LARGE percentage of Christian conservatives NATIONWIDE !! you don't have to agree with what he says, but these are the facts..

There are also 100 other social conservatives who endorsed Tom Gallagher. I can't find the list at the moment but this isn't just about James Dobson. It's a lot of social conservatives.

Charlie Crist made a huge mistake a few weeks ago. Crist announced that he was going to focus on the economy which is healthy instead of on social issues.

No wonder social conservatives are endorsing Tom Gallagher.

Crist said he was going to focus on economics which he knows nothing about instead of real people which he also knows nothing about.

True, and I even agree with him in this case. I still don't like him though. He isn't as much of a nut job as Robertson and Falwell, but he's still in the business of deciding "what's best for us". I associate such political agendas with leftism and it should be rejected accordingly.

I'm not familiar with with the candidates involved, but I would hate for the FL GOP to give the Dems a get out of jail free card down there. With Harris, FL is off the table. If the GOP can field a better candidate there may be at least some hope.
