LOL! You two owe me a keyboard for that exchange! I can't get the hot chocholate out of it from projectile laughing!
It has been a year or so what has the soft tissue turned out to be?
No new news, but since they were occupied last year with the discovery that T. rex had avian medullary bone I would expect it to be another year from that date before another paper comes out, perhaps longer. If no organic matter remains besides the usual decomposition products I doubt they will publish on it at all except possibly in supplemental material for an article on a different topic.
By the way, I sent AiG that letter in March and have not received any acknowledgment nor rebuttal.
Are you talking about news from AiG?
I don't bother with them.
I meant news about the "soft tissue" from Dr. Schweitzer especially since the "soft tissue" made her question science's current understanding of decay and fossilization.
I read somewhere she made the remark the T Rex "smelled like a cadaver".
I agree with your response to AiG.
No, I was referring to Dr. Schweitzer's research. I don't anticipate she'll publish another article for quite some time. She doesn't have a lot of co-workers so even publishing one a year would be quite a clip.
Also, mummified hadrosaurs have been found before in North America, but none so well preserved as the Maltese specimen (a precious, jewel encrusted "Big Bird" instead of a black bird :))
