JUST CRAP!!!! Why oh why did Bush EVER allow this to happen...fool me once...
No, I did not; but I will surely see the rerun.
I just cannot believe all the enemies this president has.
And I will NOT forget.
Geesh..OILLLL COMPANY!!!
The both are advising McCain; it's been on all the shows.
Thank you...I was just going to have to go hunting.
All I can do is back sleuth up on this. I saw the same thing, which was a full official listing of those who had signed on with McCain (may he not make it past the first primary).
Oh..and mara....I forgot Bill Kristol...and Brent Scowcroft..
BUT, since this thread was about Armitage...and Powell, I was just thinking of them.
Amazing, huh??
and payback for the Clintoon impeachment
The New York Times called it an "informal network". in it's article entitled "McCain Mines Elite of GOP for 2008 team"...
"His still-informal network includes Richard L. Armitage, the former deputy secretary of state; John A. Thain, chief executive of the New York Stock Exchange; and Sig Rogich, who directed the advertising for the 1988 and 1992 presidential campaigns of Mr. Bushs father."
You really, really, really want the timeline?
I'm sure books will be written. It's too good a story to let lie. An entire chapter could be devoted to Truthout's false announcement of an impending Rove indictment--that alone would make it worth buying.
Well...this article differs with the one I saw...that named them to McCain's campaign...so, you may be correct ...but we will have to see.
The NYTimes guy stands by his story it says...but I don't trust the NYTimes..
So...okay if they AREN'T in the campaign...that still doesn't keep them from being scum...IMHO>
and I still don't like McCain...LOL
I was over at DU a few minutes ago. Not one thread going on right now about FRITZMAS
It is strange that that "biography" of Armitage...it says in one paragraph that the worked for Bush JR??...no such thing as Bush, Jr.
LOL
"I was over at DU a few minutes ago. Not one thread going on right now about FRITZMAS"
Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
Maybe they would have known a bit earlier if they had talked with this guy:
SEPTEMBER 2003 : (RAY MCGOVERN OF VETERAN INTELLIGENCE PROFESSIONALS FOR SANITY SAYS HE KNOWS WILSON'S WIFE VALERIE PLAME WAS A 'DEEP COVER OPERATIVE RUNNING A NETWORK OF INFORMANTS ON WMD') To: cyncooper Good thoughts. There's also the Ray McGovern angle...McGovern is quoted in September as saying he "knows Joe Wilson well enough to know that his wife was in fact a deep cover operative running a network of informants on [WMD]." McGovern founded "Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity", which vehemently opposed the war. - Source: Freeper Seamole?

That's the thread you may be thinking of, regarding McCain's mining of the GOP elite.
Powell and Armitage appear under "foreign policy".
As long as the timeline includes Wilson's remarks about frog-marching Rove out of the White House, sure.
Oh Wait, I forgot, they didn't do that in the Plame case, did they?
