Update, they found his body in a Chimney in rural Brown County. The live-in girlfriend was apparently the one who told the Police where he was.

This entire story is just turning my stomach. It's a shame that we live in a country with so many non-profit and gov't agencies to assist those in need, when crimes of this nature seem to occur more often. Rather than let the case worker use his/her judgment (assuming there was no reason to question the foster family), some strict procedures need to be implemented and followed involving 'what if' scenarios. Very Sad :(

May the Lord influence the DA to properly charge this couple rather than turn it into a political show. They knew what they were doing (clear and concise thinking), an entire conspiracy from the time that closet door shut to last day the lying foster mom spent in the hospital. Involuntary manslaughter is total disgrace to the entire judicial system.

Now who was it that decided to remove vigilantism as form of punishment??

May Marcus rest in peace.

Deters apparently said that involunatary manslaughter was just to hold them. Expect the charges to be raised. Deters is a good guy and doesn't mess around.

To back up what I just said... Foster Parents Face More Charges LAST UPDATE: 8/29/2006 5:33:01 PM Liz and David Carroll Jr are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at 2:00 pm in Judge Patrick Dinkelacker's courtroom.

Prosecutors from Hamilton and Clermont Counties are gathering more evidence and both agree Marcus Fiesel's foster parents should stand trial for murder. Today, Liz and David Carroll face five new indictments, including making false alarms and perjury. The Carrolls are already charged with involuntary manslaughter, but prosecutors say they intend to file murder charges.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says the couple wrapped Marcus in a blanket with his arms behind his back, secured him with packing tape, and then left him in a closet for nearly two days.

Also Tuesday, a search is underway for Marcus' remains in the Ohio River in Brown County, near Aberdeen. Boats from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department are dragging the river. Investigators believe David Carroll tried to burn Fiesel's body on at least two occasions at an old stone chimney in an area several miles away. They believe the parts of his body that didn't burn may have been dumped in the river.

There are times I think I would like to serve on their juries to make sure they get what they deserve, but I know that my mind probably could not stand to hear all the facts .

What an angel baby. This has just made me sick to the core. As the mother of a 2 and a half year old boy, who like Marcus, has autism, and who also bears a striking resemblance to Angel Marcus I just feel so much grief and disbelief that two human beings could inflict such torture to such a vulnerable little boy. He needed extra love, tenderness and encouragement to give him a fulfilled life like other normally developing children come across naturally.

I pray that Marcus is in a better place. Children with Autism are targets for monsters, as their ability to communicate is often impaired and such scum think they can get away with all forms of abuse with these very special, wonderful children- such targeting is gross and disgusting. I am British, and in England we do not have the death penalty - however for the two human beings who tortured and neglected this very special, beautiful little boy they should die for their acts.

The prosecutor said that he and his staff would have a fist fight over the chance to put Marcus's murderers on death row.

How did the authorities find out that the body was transported and burned?

I heard on wlw that some family members dropped the dime.

As a foster child they probably couldn't take him out of the township much less out of the state with them. That would have been their motive for leaving him behind.

Fine. So, they wrap him up in a cocoon, complete with duct tape and put him in the closet. (Heard on the Cincinnati radio).

Shallow end of the gene pool in action. I got the rope

this is just horrific....

I have dear friends who are foster parents.

The father was a foster child himself, the mother was a schoold teacher....

they have a non=profit org, they are trying to raise money to buy the farm they are leasing to purchase right now.

In July- we brought a group of homeless children from downtown Atlanta out to the farm- we let them ride horses, feed the goats, go fishing, etc...

Chik-Fil-A supplied lunch for all the children and the volunteers....

They are battling the state right now also- they have room for 14 children, but are only allowed 6 unless they turn into an INSTITUTION and then they cannot live with the children like a family- they have to hire people to care for the kids.....

the system is a mess.

They are approved through the BAIR FOUNDATION... a Christian Foster Parent Agency-- a LOT tougher to be approved by them than the state.

It breaks me heart... these children have been through enough- then scum like this exist....

then you have foster kids living in hotels because there is "no room" for them- and then you have people like my friends just begging for more children to care for...

frustrating....

very frustrating....

they can leave the state with them... they need approval- filing out paper-work- at least here in GA that is the way it goes...

they also have what they call "respit care"

this is where other foster parents can care for children when you take a trip or just need a weekend off.

but then the "respit care" parents get the money for those days.....

Uh, I doubt these stems cared to even check their options.

This is one more of a seemingly endless more and more depraved series of crimes. We need to shoren the time between crime & punishment.

There is a site at http://www.geocities.com/ahousedivided1998 that talks about parents losing their kids to CPS. It's a horrible story.
