The teeth would seem to be of a grass/vegetable eater, rather than a meat eater (carnivor).

Never mind, I just looked at the photos. Just shot down my hopes on it being a Mermaid.

It's the mermaid that Muslim mermen get - 72 of 'em. Humans get Helen Thomas.

The teeth are pointier in the linked pic, but the skull shape is very similar.

Are we lucky that when Algor invented the net, he chose to exclude scratch-n-sniff capabilities?

I was looking there too. My guess, killer whale, yet it looks like it has molars or old teeth.

"We're both looking for the blowhole."

Looks like the skin was pushed off the top of the mandible, up onto the head. I think I can see eye sockets in one photo, about 2/3 of the way back.

This is an obvious air-breather, but the lack of nostrils would seem to indicate a blow hole of some kind. Gosh I wish I could go there and have a look at this thing in person.

With luck, it won't just disappear into some warehouse somewhere without being thoroughly examined. It does not have the look of a fake.

The animal is a juvenile toothed whale. It's hard to tell the exact species because of it's advanced decay, but there is little doubt in my mind that the photo is of the near-skeletal remains of a juvenile toothed whale, several species of which are natural to that area.

Many people aren't aware of this, but the heads of many toothed whale species are primarily muscle and fat. In an orca, for example, two thirds of the "head" is actually some sort of meat. Unless you do marine biology for a living, it's unlikely that anyone here would identify an orca skull as such. I really doubt that the skull in that photo is orca because the teeth are wrong, but there are a half dozen other possibilities in the world.

For comparison:

How about those ventral ridges on the spine, clear to the end of the tail. That's typical of mososaurs and other similar fossils. It's very atypical of any modern animals I'm aware of.

However, the body lacks ambulocetus' legs. (Maybe they rotted away.) It looks like a descendant of ambulocetus that took a more streamlined shape, much like the earliest whales.

It's certainly possible that it's a modern whale of some sort. The big problem is all that skin covering things up. Are there legs anywhere on this thing? I cannot tell.
