All Katrina, all the time. Pass.

No way will I watch the media continue with their spins and lies on this story. Once was quite enough.

Thanks AB, Congrats to top 3 winners last week & Good Morning to EveryOne!

Katrina all over, this sunday. Will the MSM ever admit their Mis-reporting of the incidents & lessons learned on their part? Just this morning, ShepHez Smith shamed himself again while commenting on the kidnapping incident.

I am tired of all the Katrina-hype & taking off for a bit of DIY-decorating project. Ofcourse, I will post my Media Nuggets in a while and then off for this week.

Nagin says he will evac EVERYONE out of the city if Ernesto comes close to N.O.

36 hours required for mandatory order.

[Hey, Nagyy, do you have the bus drivers 'detained' somewhere? They might already be fleeing the city, Nagyy.]

Nagin says they will use buses, trains, everything to get people out of the city.

[Will Timmy show Brousseau (sp) the Crier video? Hey Timmy, if you 'lost' your copy, I've got one on disk. hehehee]

I love that Nagin is going to be TV. All the media bashing the President is going to be undone by this foot in mouth moron.

The media has spent millions to blame the President for all that went wrong in New Orleans, and then we have Nagin..............oh, I love it!

Nagin: 'for whatever ever reason, there was a slow response' last year.

[Nagin tries to distance himself from the situation. Russert retorts about the Feds being slow to react.]

Russert points out the high crime rate in N.O. Nagin blames the lack of money. Nagin brags that the murder rate has declined from 23 one month down to 10.

I'll talk to you guys but I refuse to watch Mayor School Bus. Someone mention when he's done lying. He's probably done now. I'll check. :)

Nope, Mayor School Bus is still droning. Funny how Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama are recovering so much quicker than Louisiana, and Louisiana didn't get the dirty side of the storm. Mississippi did. The difference is, those states have REAL Governors and most of their people are able to do for themselves, and don't have to have the Government do everything for them, including wipe their noses, unlike so many liberal brain dead voting machines in Loserana. I don't know how conservatives manage to make it there.

I've been "grazing" the thread, not reading posts in detail (really, that's all I've been doing... honest). I haven't seen anyone comment on the fact that Donald Powell, who was supposed to be on Fox and CNN, overslept and missed at least the Fox appearance.

Not a good sign.

Mark Kilmer has posted his review over at RedState.COM

The Sunday Morning Talk Shows - review

starring Joe Biden or Mary Landrieu

By Mark Kilmer

On MTP, Hizzoner Ray Nagin explained that he was just comparing sites which took time to develop. When he said "hole in the ground," he meant: "an undeveloped site as yet." FEMA Director David Paulison explained that his agency has no control of money it gives to victims after it has been given; Russert complained that victims were spending targeted relief money on soda pop and condoms.

On TW, Brownie said that it was all Chertoff's fault and that his disaster consulting business was doing so well because he knows what works and what doesn't. Mary Landrieu walked around New Orleans and neither cried nor threatened to assault the President of the United States. Gulf Coast Rebuilding coordinator Don Powell said that money had been allocated for Katrina relief, but that they were waiting for the bills.

On FNS, Joe Biden told Wallace that while he was sure that General Abizaid, who said last week that Iraq was "nowhere near" a civil war, had a pretty good idea how things were going in Iraq, Generals Casey and Chiarelli had told him that we're all going to die. Biden said that he does not want to partition Iraq; rather, he said, he wants the Iraqi provinces to have the same rights and powers as does South Carolina.

On FTN, Bob Schieffer talked to Harry Smith in New Orleans, and Smith said that no one trusted the government and was on their own. Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour then explained how, unlike what Harry had opined, it was not a per se economic class issue. Some wealthy homes by the beach were not able to rebuild while less well off neighborhoods a few blocks inlands were rebuilding apace. FEMA director Paulison addressed Smith's snideness by saying that everyone should be responsible for themselves, but that FEMA was prepared to help.

On LE, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki's translator was speaking into a tube, but the prime minister seemed to indicate that the Iraqis should be ready to take care of their own security within the next year.

Also of note, and not mentioned in the show-by-show review below, is that CBS News' Harry Smith told FTN host Schieffer that a woman in St. Barnard's Parish in New Orleans cried for 45 minutes about her home which had been damaged by an oil slick. They wouldn't be able to build. Standing in the parish with George Stephanopoulos last week in a tape show on TW, Senator Mary Landrieu boasted about how St. Bernard's Parish was the greatest example of the rebuilding effort. She spoke in glowing terms.

Mary Landrieu last year sat that the President was "out of touch." Go figure. (She says that the Bushies are still out of touch. Gulf Coast Rebuilding coordinator Don Powell displayed that this was a fraudulent supposition on FOX News Sunday this morning. Landrieu's mind is lost on the Moon, and there is a slight pun there.)

Read on for the complete, show-by-show review:.

#106: For a short break today: http://rightofatilla.net/wst_page6.html Don't pop a gasket until you read it all!

9. Anita:

#18: Congratulations Rod! Now, this sunday's Media Nuggets ###### Up, Close & Personal - Hail to the Chief -> NewMedia sees W unfiltered. But Time Magazine completely ignores Hillary Clinton's two brothers in their cover story. ###### Osama bin Laden preferred CNN over BBC and CBS's "60 Minutes"? ###### ABC or DNC? - First George Mitchell, then George Stephanopoulos & now Chris Cuomo. ###### Clue-less NYTimes - Dixie Chicks may play a role in the November elections. ###### XM Satellite Radio XM has 13 different news channels, but MSNBC was being canned from its lineup. ###### Bill Clinton selects Rupert Murdoch to Recruit, ......... well, read the comments especially, the 1st. ###### NYTimes always sides with Union workers, except when it comes their own. 8. Masadaman:

#362:Apparently as quid pro quo for the cover-up and ultimate duty on the 9/11 Commssion where she was charged essentially with investigating herself, Gorelick picked up a number of highly rewarding positions along the way including a senior partnership with a major Washington law firm. She also suddenly became a Fannie Mae director which netted her $15-25 million based on share prices and cooked financials. Last week the Justice Department decided not to criminally prosecute the Fannie Mae Board or the Franklin Raines executive group for these flagrant frauds on shareholders and the de facto federal subsidy which Fannie Mae is accorded in the financial markets. This bizarre decision which even now protects Clinton appointees is a total sham and a major stain on the Gonsales led DoJ. By the way, Raines was frequently mentioned as a potential Treasury Secretary in a Gore administration.

7. Macia:

402: Permit me a little time to remark on a Juan Williams comment. When the topic was the Morning After pill, Juan addressed Kristol, father of teenage girl to father of teenage girl, and said that it would be a good thing to have this pill instantly and everywhere available to teenage girls. Ugh! How blind he is.

6. Fishtalk:

#97: Morning AB, Rodguy, ALL Wow, your post is mind-boggling. Because I've always thought that there's so much more to the Able-Danger story than we knew. Obviously there's been an orchestrated coverup to keep it all mum. Hey, I don't know. I try to put myself in Bush's shoes. It had to be major hell to get his administration up and going what with the Dems trying to steal our lawful election and everything. Then he comes into office, and by "he" I mean Bush's admin, including Cheney, Condi, Rumsfeld...the major players. And just when he's getting everything sorted out and all the damage cleaned up at the White House, boom, 9-11 happens. Come on. THAT event had to be almost overwhelming. Because what was involved in the eventuality of that attack goes back far, wide and deep, like a pervasive cancer. Now the admin has to dig and with each investigation, all this while preparing for war mind you, and they discover all that the Clinton admin swept under the rug. Imagine being in that situation if you can. The FBI, the CIA, all of the alphabet agencies are filled with people with their own agendas and nefarious histories. Then there's Sandy Bergler stealing documents, the infamous 9-11 commission and all the political crap with that. We move on to Joe Wilson, that lovely man. They've all done nothing but fight this admin to prevent them from discovering how they fell down on the job, at best, were blatently corrupt at worst. At times, I imagine, the admin had to make difficult choices. It was either destroy the morale of certain important agencies or work diligently to clean out the vipers' nests. This all takes time as you can imagine. I really hope SOMEONE writes Bush's story as it has to be a good one. This admin is winning, make no mistake. Winning even with the yappy Greek chorus of self-serving politicos who know they screwed up big time. Winning even with the LSM working against them. As for PR firms helping the Hezzies, I would not be surprised. Those Muslims have LOTS of money and a PR firm knows how to spin things. For yea many years their PR spin has worked. They know their jobs. I've no doubt that there's a lot of LSM types firmly on the payroll of some Arab oil-rich thug or thief. Then there was Katrina and somehow the LSM manages to spin truth into lies that a freaking hurricane was Bush's fault and there were NO WMD's in Iraq. Dubya needs to tell his story. It'll be a good one if he's brave enough to tell the truth.

5. Samantha:

# 459: I forgot to tell you about your post from last Sunday's thread about Don Quixote,Sancho Panza,Man of La Mancha. The Song," The Impossible Dream" is so beautifully written, so poignant, profound, and inspiring that I cannot help but relate it to GWB,Our Military, and the Conservatives that took all the slings and arrows to get us to the Majority. The fact that Tilting at windmills is the theme of the Play does not matter,it is all about being "willing to March into Hell for a Heavenly cause". "This is my quest to follow that star,no matter how hopeless, no matter how far". Then the bottom line. "Then If I will only be true to this glorious quest, that my heart will be peaceful and calm til I'm laid to my rest". That is especially the Marines and GWB thinking. Then the last line is very moving and so very fitting of the struggles that we have faced since 9-11, and the way GWB has struggled though beaten up by the DBM and the democrat enemies of our Country, and the Thugs from overseas. He is still persevering for Freedom,Justice,Peace, and Security for all. I remember seeing Jack Jones sing that song at the Carter Barron Amphitheater in Washington DC in 1967. What a Song, the last line is too much for me to post emotionally.

#440: I have been to Disney lots of times, and all the other theme parks in the area, even Busch Gardens. I have not been in a long time since a few of the Parks especially Disney cater to Gays and Lesbians and do not bother to tell People that have young children that the Gays absolutely take over the Park. Many a Parent has been shocked by booking the wrong time because they were not forewarned,so they could change their reservations. I would still go,but it is almost impossible to get someone to go along because of the stigma of the Catering to Gays. I try to tell them that "Gay Days" are only once a Year usually in late May or early June, and it is horribly hot that time of year, but they want no part of it. I am trying to get My Niece and her kids to go,and I am aiming for Mid October when it is cooler, but the Love Bugs invade for two weeks in Late September or October. I would rather be in Hell than Disney this time of year,as a matter of fact I would feel like I was in Hell if I was there now. You could die of heatstroke with all that asphalt and Cement, not even the many lakes and waterways keep you cool. I will let you know if we seal the deal and go in October. Your idea certainly sounds intriguing.

4. Oldfriend:

#314: I assure you Nagin's hole in the ground comment about the WTC has gotten tremendous play here in the NY metro area.
Most of the media has said that while it was insensitive, it's also true. And in a way it is true, but no one is allowed to mention it.
We all have to pretend that there has been no infighting about the rebuilding effort for the past five years.

#312: Right now there is a huge debate about eminent domain. Condemning private property has become a boiling issue ever since the Kelo decision by the USSC. There are blighted areas that need to be torn down. It's a slippery slope tho.
The USSC suggested that States formulate their own laws with regard to eminent domain seizures. Some states have moved to ban seizures but NJ is not one of those states. They regularly condemn private property for their own purposes. Often those purposes are corrupt.

Snugs will be along later with the top 3.
