#362:Apparently as quid pro quo for the cover-up and ultimate duty on the 9/11 Commssion where she was charged essentially with investigating herself, Gorelick picked up a number of highly rewarding positions along the way including a senior partnership with a major Washington law firm. She also suddenly became a Fannie Mae director which netted her $15-25 million based on share prices and cooked financials. Last week the Justice Department decided not to criminally prosecute the Fannie Mae Board or the Franklin Raines executive group for these flagrant frauds on shareholders and the de facto federal subsidy which Fannie Mae is accorded in the financial markets. This bizarre decision which even now protects Clinton appointees is a total sham and a major stain on the Gonsales led DoJ. By the way, Raines was frequently mentioned as a potential Treasury Secretary in a Gore administration.

402: Permit me a little time to remark on a Juan Williams comment. When the topic was the Morning After pill, Juan addressed Kristol, father of teenage girl to father of teenage girl, and said that it would be a good thing to have this pill instantly and everywhere available to teenage girls. Ugh! How blind he is.

#97: Morning AB, Rodguy, ALL Wow, your post is mind-boggling. Because I've always thought that there's so much more to the Able-Danger story than we knew. Obviously there's been an orchestrated coverup to keep it all mum. Hey, I don't know. I try to put myself in Bush's shoes. It had to be major hell to get his administration up and going what with the Dems trying to steal our lawful election and everything. Then he comes into office, and by "he" I mean Bush's admin, including Cheney, Condi, Rumsfeld...the major players. And just when he's getting everything sorted out and all the damage cleaned up at the White House, boom, 9-11 happens. Come on. THAT event had to be almost overwhelming. Because what was involved in the eventuality of that attack goes back far, wide and deep, like a pervasive cancer. Now the admin has to dig and with each investigation, all this while preparing for war mind you, and they discover all that the Clinton admin swept under the rug. Imagine being in that situation if you can. The FBI, the CIA, all of the alphabet agencies are filled with people with their own agendas and nefarious histories. Then there's Sandy Bergler stealing documents, the infamous 9-11 commission and all the political crap with that. We move on to Joe Wilson, that lovely man. They've all done nothing but fight this admin to prevent them from discovering how they fell down on the job, at best, were blatently corrupt at worst. At times, I imagine, the admin had to make difficult choices. It was either destroy the morale of certain important agencies or work diligently to clean out the vipers' nests. This all takes time as you can imagine. I really hope SOMEONE writes Bush's story as it has to be a good one. This admin is winning, make no mistake. Winning even with the yappy Greek chorus of self-serving politicos who know they screwed up big time. Winning even with the LSM working against them. As for PR firms helping the Hezzies, I would not be surprised. Those Muslims have LOTS of money and a PR firm knows how to spin things. For yea many years their PR spin has worked. They know their jobs. I've no doubt that there's a lot of LSM types firmly on the payroll of some Arab oil-rich thug or thief. Then there was Katrina and somehow the LSM manages to spin truth into lies that a freaking hurricane was Bush's fault and there were NO WMD's in Iraq. Dubya needs to tell his story. It'll be a good one if he's brave enough to tell the truth.

# 459: I forgot to tell you about your post from last Sunday's thread about Don Quixote,Sancho Panza,Man of La Mancha. The Song," The Impossible Dream" is so beautifully written, so poignant, profound, and inspiring that I cannot help but relate it to GWB,Our Military, and the Conservatives that took all the slings and arrows to get us to the Majority. The fact that Tilting at windmills is the theme of the Play does not matter,it is all about being "willing to March into Hell for a Heavenly cause". "This is my quest to follow that star,no matter how hopeless, no matter how far". Then the bottom line. "Then If I will only be true to this glorious quest, that my heart will be peaceful and calm til I'm laid to my rest". That is especially the Marines and GWB thinking. Then the last line is very moving and so very fitting of the struggles that we have faced since 9-11, and the way GWB has struggled though beaten up by the DBM and the democrat enemies of our Country, and the Thugs from overseas. He is still persevering for Freedom,Justice,Peace, and Security for all. I remember seeing Jack Jones sing that song at the Carter Barron Amphitheater in Washington DC in 1967. What a Song, the last line is too much for me to post emotionally.
#440: I have been to Disney lots of times, and all the other theme parks in the area, even Busch Gardens. I have not been in a long time since a few of the Parks especially Disney cater to Gays and Lesbians and do not bother to tell People that have young children that the Gays absolutely take over the Park. Many a Parent has been shocked by booking the wrong time because they were not forewarned,so they could change their reservations. I would still go,but it is almost impossible to get someone to go along because of the stigma of the Catering to Gays. I try to tell them that "Gay Days" are only once a Year usually in late May or early June, and it is horribly hot that time of year, but they want no part of it. I am trying to get My Niece and her kids to go,and I am aiming for Mid October when it is cooler, but the Love Bugs invade for two weeks in Late September or October. I would rather be in Hell than Disney this time of year,as a matter of fact I would feel like I was in Hell if I was there now. You could die of heatstroke with all that asphalt and Cement, not even the many lakes and waterways keep you cool. I will let you know if we seal the deal and go in October. Your idea certainly sounds intriguing.

#314: I assure you Nagin's hole in the ground comment about the WTC has gotten tremendous play here in the NY metro area.
Most of the media has said that while it was insensitive, it's also true. And in a way it is true, but no one is allowed to mention it.
We all have to pretend that there has been no infighting about the rebuilding effort for the past five years.
#312: Right now there is a huge debate about eminent domain. Condemning private property has become a boiling issue ever since the Kelo decision by the USSC. There are blighted areas that need to be torn down. It's a slippery slope tho.
The USSC suggested that States formulate their own laws with regard to eminent domain seizures. Some states have moved to ban seizures but NJ is not one of those states. They regularly condemn private property for their own purposes. Often those purposes are corrupt.
Snugs will be along later with the top 3.
3. Morgan in Denver. Morgan's back!
#229: Democrats rely on people not paying attention. They cannot win with their goofy ideas so they are forced to invent problems or complaints as reasons to support them. All the hand wringing today makes me believe the GOP will do better in November than the press/media/polls/focus groups would have us believe. Once people start thinking logically about Iraq, the war on terro, all the hurricanes, et al, voters will remember how is really at fault, and it's not us. #256Im having problems understanding what is wrong with nation building. We have stated policies of helping countries who want more freedom and where they want to get out from under the yoke of communism, despotism or dictators. Even the current Bush Doctrine says we will help countries develop into free democracies. In Vietnam, we initially went in to help out because the French botched it up so bad and South Vietnam was trying to fend off the communists to build a country based on the ideals of freedom and liberty. If this is nation building I dont have a problem with it. We only lost Vietnam because the US Democrat Congress refused to continue funding the South Vietnamese, thereby insuring their fall to the North. Now, as then, the Democrats are more interested in power than what is right or wrong. When a party has no morals, character or ideals, they will accept anything as long as they can remain in power.

2. TexasPatriot8 Don't mess with Texas!
#151: And she's the National Review Editor??? We're losing in Iraq? Really? Is that why TENS OF THOUSANDS of soldiers and Marines are volunteering to go back multiple times? Is that why the Marines and Army have exceeded their recruiting goals already? Is that why the troops coming home ALWAYS tell a different story about Iraq than the media? Iraq is going well and I'll believe my military friends who have actually been in Iraq fighting, before I'll believe the media, who rarely ever leave their hotels, thank you very much. If guys like Novak were in charge decades ago, the world would have been in a bigger mess right now because Germany and Japan wouldn't even be Democracies. #164Isn't it funny how they're not talking at all about the Leiberman race or him pasting the anti-war radical liberal Lament in the polls, or the weakness of the Democrats on the border, or the Democrats weakness on the war, or the Democrats weakness on Judges, or the Democrats weakness on gay marriage or abortion? If anyone is vulnerable here it's the Democrats. Pathetic. One sided GOP bashing like this is why they get pasted every two years. They live in their own world and can't see their own weakness. Gotta go. See y'all later. :)

1. Rodguy911. Well either he hid the Mrs' shoes really well or the fish weren't biting but what ever it was Rod ruled the roost this Sunday! #74 Since you brought up the propaganda aspect I have been formulating a theory all week long. Now that we know the dead babies and all the rest of the media blitz the Hezzies engaged in during the Lebanon fiasco was phonied up, it makes good sense to me that they may have had a little help. Others too have surmised that it's just possible that a major PR firm may be behind the Hezzies seemingly amazing ability to sway opinions along with help form the MSM/DBM. The big question being, is there a US PR firm connection to the Hezzies? Sounds like conspiracy doesn't it, but here's antoher one we thought was conspiracy as well, turns out it might not have been! Not too long ago Rep. Kurt Weldon tried his best to come to the aide of Col. Tony Shaffer and others who valiantly dredged up data on Mohammed Atta before 911 and were prevented from presenting the data to the correct sources by the DOD among others. It seems that during the course of their data mining Able Danger ops. discovered a major league FBI screw-up RE Ali-Mohammed- a member of Osamma's inner circle. He reportedly became an FBI informant, smuggled Ben Laden in and out of Afghanistan, wrote an Al Qaeda terrorist manual among other deeds. Author Peter Lance puts it this way, "The FBI allowed the chief spy for Al Qaeda to operate right under their noses",(shocking stuff when you think about it)224 were killed, 4,000 wounded because of FBI negligence. The thinking is that the Pentagon decided to bury what AD uncovered to avoid embarrassment to the FBI(and who knows whom else)Lance also says that Scooter Libby/Rove prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald covered up or botched key Al Qaeda intel until 96 as a US attorney in NY--Fitzgerald literally left Ali on the street. So this is potentially a possible reason why AD has been covered up and it's players lives basically destroyed. You will find it all at the Able Danger blog here: http://www.abledangerblog.com/ #230 Media bias is nothing to laugh about either. The hezzies did such a good job getting our media to portray them as "terrorist heroes" that it's catching on! Now the Syrians want their own hezbollah! Seems Syria is forming it's own Hezbollah according to Aaron Klein at World Net Daily. Klein goes on to say that,"Syria learned that fightitng is more effective than peace negotiating...."Future generations in the Arab world will find a way to defeat Israel", said Syrian President Halfassed Assad in a recent televised address. Syria's version of the hezzies will be called the "front for the liberation of the Golan..it basically consists of hundreds of Syrian "volunteers."There is more at: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?_id=5155 #275Like minds! I do not see the massacre coming in Nov. either.First the rats have no plan! They have nothing but down with GW and the War all the time. You have to have a plan, an alternative idea, strategy, or something! The rats have and are saying nothing. They can't! The minute they espouse their cut and run strategy it's a loser at the polling places! Will voters vote for nothing? I hope not.
