...BY the time Fox and Friends came on Steve had already gone to the mike to talk to Shep....Always thinking like a journalist.

They look disgusted.

So you are saying Jesus did NOT forgive Peter for denying Him? Or that Peter was better than any other human that has lived across time and space? You can't take all these things out of context. Jesus equals Forgiveness. The one unforgiveable sin is denying the Holy Spirit, that is not what happened here. I just watched the video of Steve and Olaf at hotair.com, and not once did they attack the Christian God, or deny Jesus. They merely read from a pre-written script with guns pointed at them. That's not the same as fervently denying Christ, as Peter did, who yet was forgiven by Jesus Himself.

And please don't get snippy with *me*. I haven't attacked *you* personally, like that other person has. And I've never said I have all the answers.

Please understand my position:
I do not condemn or criticize these men for what they did (or did not) do under duress. I criticize our media and government for willingly and knowingly airing Islamic propaganda. And they will do it again. No disclaimers needed. That is the rub with me. No talk about locating the abductors and bringing them to justice. Zilch, zero, nada. Why? Because we know who did it. Hamas.

No, it is not the the conviction that we don't stand for anything that gives Islam its energy, it the knowledge that the Middle Easterners are submissive cowards, completely controlled by their ruling religious leaders, and the only thing in their lives that relieves their feelings of impotence is to kill in the name of their fascist religion. The west is the target of their hatred because in comparison, the Islamists come up so short, that they can't stand it.

It's the Hall Monitors that are the true embarrassment of FR.

"We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint," Centanni told FOX News. "Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam.."

Non sequitur for the millennium.

Steve was very clear when he spoke to Shep, They had not been treated like guest (Which breaks the rules of Islam), but cruelly. He stated that they read from papers given to them (eluded several other tapes had been made). That they had guns held to their heads.

Almost the first thing out of his mouth was denial of a conversion....although he said he learned a "lot about Islam". (Which IMO can be taken several ways.) The thought running through my mind at the time was, careful Steve you're not out of Gaza yet. Then FOX delayed all other information until they were safe in Israel. The head of FOX news came on Fox and Friends and made that announcement.

Send your post to FOX! I wrote them and made it clear I am sick of hearing all the "nice talk" about the Palestinians! Also mentioned that only Brit was stating what needs to be stated!

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Thanks for posting your thoughts because I had the very same ones. I also could not deny my Lord. "Every knee shall bend, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." This is what I hope I will have the courage to say if I am ever in this kind of situation.

He does judge by actions...but he also judges on the intent of the heart.

My friend, we are in agreement on the precedent, we are in agreement on the impact to the world with the Islamic fundamentalist being emboldened in their own minds by this. It is more dangerours. <> My only point is that I will not condemn these men based on a coerced confession, testimonial, or statement. Such statements are not true reflections of the soul and I will let God judge them in that regard. That is all.

I believe in such situations a person must be in tune with and listen to the Spirit of God and then act accroding to His will. I know exactly what my inclination would be...to take the sword as opposed to ever deny my faith verbally.

On the other hand, if God had a purpose for me and desired that I should live through such an experience and convicted me in my heart to give into such abject verbal coersion while maintianing my true faith in my heart...and if I knew that was God's will in the matter...then I would be foolish to either fight against it or go against His will in the matter. That matter of the heart and what His will is is something that He will Judge.

"People need to quit claiming to know everything and stop judging Steve and Olaf for doing so. "

I agree, people should not judge Steve and Olaf for converting to Islam with a gun held to their head. That is between them and God (assuming they have a God they worship). So, why are you telling me this? I don't see anything that I've said that criticizes these men for what they did. You seem to be the one who is being judgmental here in my opinion.

My firend, we are in agreement on what is at stake. We are in agreement that this confession emboldens an abject, mortal, brutal enemy that wants not only to destroy us, byut wants to destroy our faith.

My only point is that a coersed confession is no confession to any rational mind, and that it is for God to judge the eternal welfare of these two men...not us based on something they were forced to say at the point of a gun and on pain of death...however and whatever our inclinations in the same position would be.

Peter denied His Savior three times, after confessing and knowing that He was the Son of God...and I will hazard the guess that his knowledge of his Savior at the time of the denial was much greater than these two men's. Yet, he went on to be a great leader in the Chuirch and a great Apostle for Christ to the end of his days. What the ultimate, eternal welfare of these men's souls is going to be is in God's hands...not ours. I will not judge them based on this coersed statemnent, despite the overriding concerns and danger that their circumstance may generate...that's my only point.
