The likes of CNN, BBC and others have become so corrupted that they have become an equal threat to freedm and democracy, as the terrorists.

Good for David Frum and the National Post. There is such a vast amount of info that folks who use the internet have, and folks who rely on 20th century 'news' outlets do not get these days.

Meanwhile MSNBC's new grand fromage, Dan Abrams, is off his nut about coverage on the Duke case.

Sheesh.

mewzilla, about the only time I turn on the TV news ( or the radio news ) is when there is a breaking story- on the off-chance they have something new to reveal.

Otherwise, they are worthless- talking points, endless repetition, and one air head chatting up another air head.

Even for a God-awful event like 9-11, after the towers fell, they had nothing more substantial to add. Just empty chatter. Kind of like all the cell phone conversations you overhear, and then wished you hadn't...

Gee, I didn't even see your reply-- you're quite welcome.

That "lair of the odious Neanderthal" is one of many rotating titles LGF runs-- you see it at the top of your browser. Others are more whimsical- "who blow up de owl?" and "now with 100% More blasphemy..."

This may be where some of that US currency came from.

That is a perfect example of everything wrong with today's presentation of news. Like anyone with a shred of decency, I feel great sympathy for people who have lost someone they love- especially a child, under such ghastly circumstances-- but it's old, old news. Nothing I can perceive justifies 24/7 coverage, news crawlers, or anything else I'm seeing in this media circus.

Honestly, it reminds me of the Oscars, or other celebrity events where the self-defined "betters" of society award each other titles and pat each other on the back for their cleverness and wit.

Just a bunch of empty heads chattering at one another.

The explanation is simple. The press have already written the story that suits their agenda. They need photos, quotes, and other "evidence" to support the story that they want to tell. Hezbollah, stringers, and other fellow travelers are more than happy to provide the press with what they need, no questions asked.

When you set out to tell a big lie, no need to have real photos, real victims, real facts - gets in the way of your message.
