IRA's top bombers teach Muslim extremists how to kill our boys

IT IS the axis of evil most feared by the security services - veteran, cool-headed Irish terrorists teaming up with Islamic extremists.

Now, in the wake of the failed bid to blow up 10 transatlantic aircraft, the Sunday Express has pieced together the links between the two groups that signal a new era of terror.

There is also a further potent mix to the pot - former special forces' soldiers-turned-mercenaries from Britain and the US who are willing to sell their deadly expertise to the highest bidder.

The Sunday Express has learned:

Continuity IRA terrorists have visited Iran and Syria to sell bomb-making secrets to Hezbollah and Al Qaeda.

Roadside bombs used to kill British troops in Iraq are thought to have been created with the help of Irish bombers.

British students are being recruited for Iran-backed terror camps in South Africa.

Renegade former British special forces' soldiers are being lured by Islamic terror groups to pass on their secrets at terror training camps.

Terror groups are establishing camps in Britain, similar to the ones used by the IRA in the Irish Republic.

A former special forces soldier, now a mercenary, told the Sunday Express: "The Islamic terrorists are well financed and expanding their operations but they lack the professionalism and skills of groups like the IRA.

"They are beginning to realise that and so they are willing to pay for the expertise. That is why they are turning towards experienced and battle-hardened Irish terrorists, who have been made redundant by the peace process.

"There are an awful lot of Irish bombmakers looking for work, cash in hand and no questions asked.

"The roadside bombs turning up in Iraq have mercury-tilt mechanisms and laser triggers - the methods used by Irish terrorists in Northern Ireland at the height of the Troubles. The next logical step is that they will work with Islamic extremist terror cells here.

Why are they surprised by this? The IRA - Islamic terrorist alliance has been operating for years.

True, but I guess it's because it's the first time they have been linked with the two most dangerous Islamic terrorist groups - Hizbollah and Al Qaeda.

This article refers to an IRA splinter group - I hope they can prove such links for the Provisional IRA.

Old news:
"Underlying recent allegations of collusion between the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) is the oft-neglected fact that al Qaeda is not the only international terrorist network...." Globalizing Terrorism: The FARC-IRA Connection June 5, 2002

Great link! :)

I'm getting more convinced by the day that the Provisional IRA and Al Qaeda have links - considering that the PIRA preside over an international network that rivals AQ in size and organisation.

Reagan supported the Death Squads in Central America, where they gunned down Catholic Priests & Nuns in cold blood.

So if terrorism is evil, then Reagan is evil.

That my friend is what I am decrying.

The original account altered the fact(if it indeed is a fact) into a sweeping generalization that the US and its retired special forces operatives are actively engaged in terrorist activities with the IRA and Islamic/Muslim world wide terror operations.

That ain't no "small thing".

It is a dead-panned deliberate act to discredit the United States and to suggest specifically that we are underwriting this obscene war of worldwide terror ourselves.

I am being a little too "touchy" on this? You damn betcha! This "damning with faint praise" must be challenged at every quarter. It's part of an ongoing propaganda program that equivocates our position in defense of freedom to the insanity of the enemy whose stated purpose is to utterly destroy every single soul who is not Muslim.

Touchy? You bet.

So republicans can use Death Squads, but Catholics can't?

That there are no Catholic Republicans will come as a surprise to many on this board.

That there are GOP death squads will come as even more of a surprise.

Please continue, you are very amusing.

So, judging by your replies, I take it you have a soft spot for the IRA.

Just curious- How does it make you feel that they are (and have always been) in bed and cavorting with Muslim terrorists who are bent on the destruction of our civilization?

Since you seem to be sympathetic towards the IRA and they, in turn, are sympathetic to the Muslim terrorists, does that not make you a sympathizer of Muslim terrorists?

What sort of interesting psychological contortions do you need to get up to in the sanctity of your thoughts to justify that?

I've lived in Northern Ireland. Enniskillen. I was quite surprised to find out that many of the ones who were the most 'anti-British rule' were also sympathetic towards the Palestinian cause and towards Robert Mugabe. They need to be to be morally consistent don't you see?

The evil Brits ruled Ireland by force. The Irish revolted and eventually a settlement was signed and the Republic of Ireland has always been happy enough with that. But there were those up north who didn't want to give up the 'good fight' and wanted to see the British kicked out all together. So, a bomb here (Omagh) and a bomb there (Enniskillen). Kill some people here, kneecap somebody there. It's all for the cause don't you know? Collateral damage. The thing is, when a nation goes to war, each individual who kills someone from the other nation is doing so under the sanction of their own nation. Who does the f--king IRA represent? They don't represent a nation. They're just out there doing it on their own. This is called murder.

So then we have Zimbabwe- formerly Rhodesia. The mean and evil whites moved into Africa and took the land from the people or so we're led to believe. Robert Mugabe wants to take the land back from the evil whites and give it to the blacks. This coincides quite nicely with what the IRA believe themselves to be doing so hence the sympathy they have towards these groups.

The things is, the IRA were always wrong in what they did and if you ever sided with them, that made you wrong as well. But it was never a big deal until 9/11 and we all had to stop and question what and who we supported or not.

Feminist groups for example. They had a bit of cognitive dissonance going on because of the Taliban. Feminists, obviously, hated the Taliban because of the way they treated women. They wanted something done about Taliban for quite a while. Well, 9/11 happened and we decided to take the Taliban out of the picture in Afghanistan. The problem the feminists had was they are by and large Leftists and therefore cannot approve of anything a radical right-winger like George W Bush might do.

This is what's happening to the supporters of terrorist groups like your IRA (and all their little offshoots). You support them when you shouldn't but you don't want to stop and say you're wrong (which would be the easier and more sensible thing to do) because they're terrorists and terrorism is wrong.

I don't give a flying f--k what Ronald Reagan did or didn't do. We're talking about here and now and these Irish socialists (and don't kid yourself- the IRA are socialist in their philosophy) are off cooperating with Muslim terrorists. Don't be a sycophant for these guys. They're wrong and you're never going to be right in suppporting them. You'll just get dirtier and dirtier by trying to come up with a way to support them and deny support to our enemies. They're in it together. That's what matters and they're in it against us.

Take your pick and spare me any preaching. The only good terrorist- Irish, Muslim, Basque or otherwise- is a dead one. If they took all the members of the IRA (Gerry Adams included) out behind a building and shot them I say 'Good Riddance'. Same to bin Laden and his bunch.

I have heard of one such ex-US marine sniper codenamed Goldfinger who worked for the IRA, he was reportedly on $50k per kill of a British soldier. A SAS team was tasked with tracking him. He didn't return home........
I also know of ex British army soldiers with a trigger finger for hire to the highest bidder..... It stands to reason if you have a skill and someone wants to pay you a lot of money that you will do what you have been trained to do.

Fletch, I'm not saying individuals with the skills don't or can't go out on mecenary ops...it's a fact of life.

This came up when some jerkoff alleged that it was USA policy to have vets on mercenary ops as a way of saying that we are morally equivalent to the scumbag Islamic Terrorist engaged in worldwide terror ops all over the planet.

That is bs enemy propaganda designed to put us on equal footing with monster evil bastards who have the stated objective of annihilating every man, woman and child who is not muslim.
