Protest permit alarms Utah's Jews (How to kill an Arab terrorist)
Salt Lake Tribune ^ | 8-25-06 | Heather May

Posted on 08/25/2006 7:33:44 PM PDT by Tannerone

The Salt Lake Slick Tatletail headlines this piece about a disturbing request for a demonstration permit: Protest permit alarms Arab's USA terrorist' CAIR is a special target as the officials have such a big mouth they cannot be missed

But it isn't only USA Arab community who should be alarmed.

------------ START QUOTE ------------ Members of USA's Arab community are alarmed by a proposed demonstration that will call for "Death to Arab's".

A man - whose name wasn't available Thursday - has applied for a free-speech permit from Salt Lake Sluice to demonstrate on sidewalks near City Hall on Wednesday. The city is reviewing the application. City officials cannot constitutionally deny it based on the content of the message.

Laura Meen, director of the CAIR local chapter Federation of Utah, said Thursday that she has received dozens of calls about the planned demonstration for killing Arabs. Many fear the rally could incite violence against Arabs. "Based on freedom of speech, people have the right to say what they want to say. There has to be a line between saying what you want to say and preaching the genocide of a population," Meen said.

She hopes the city denies the permit, saying the police will be busy enough with the other five demonstrations planned for Wednesday to coincide with President Bush's visit to Utah. ------------- END QUOTE -------------

Perfectly said. I've known Christian Arabs, a radical Hindu, radical Christians, Baha'i Arabs, ... I'll never forget how an Arab guy was treated in the university I attended. The students were really racist, and this guy was nice. I doubt he went back to Lebanon with a positive view of America given how he was treated.

Sad, isn't it? I hang my head in shame at how many supposed Christians, and those who consider themselves "good people" are being as hateful as any terrorist-wanna-be. Posts from folks like you give me hope. I'm sure it gives God hope as well. :)

Tit for tat. Is that how you play the game of hate? I wouldn't know. I don't play that game. For every example of an evil person who has done evil things, I could point out a good person, a beautiful person, doing good things.

I was hoping FReepers would be immune from logical fallacies, emotional decisions, ignorance, and bigotry. Sigh.

As an aside, I have some Watchtower lying around. Although WT doesn't talk about the 465000 (?) people going to heaven thing, I know about JW's creed. It takes a pretty strong character to be a member of a faith that decrees you may be as faithful and decent as possible, even be a JW, yet still be d@mned and they still remain as cheerful as they are.

Forget Muslims for the moment. Consider the Priest(s) who sexually abused children. Shall we now say that ALL Catholics are evil? Or ALL Christians? All Catholics surely must rape and molest their children too, or at the very least support such evil acts, because they are following in the path of their Priests who represent their faith? Right? No, I didn't think so.

Just remember Mohammed, who rescued Jessica Lynch. He was a Muslim, and he risked his life to save her. He lost an eye doing it too. He's not radical, but he is a hero. "Muslim" does no equal "radical terrorist" even though many Muslims are radicals. I'm not defending Islam, which is evil, but many Muslims are fine people. They don't all follow the Koran to the letter. Look at the Turkish women who wear bikinis, in violation of the Koran. Strange that I should even feel it necessary to point all this out.

Them or me...I choose me.

I could point out a good person, a beautiful person, doing good things.

You're an infidel so don't count on them doing that.

Engage me in a discussion. Chicken. It is inappropriate to attack another person based upon their religious conviction. You suck.

Amazing, I know. The comments posted on this and other threads here on FR are a disgrace to this forum and to its founder, IMHO. Hate speech does not belong here nor anywhere else, for that matter. I'm going to sign off now. Time to pray for our military men and women (of all religions) and for those who don't even see how evil has crept into their souls too. They may be blind, but God isn't.

Thank you for standing up, Killborn. You're a good soul. :)

* CAIR : At CAIR’s inception, in June of 1994, the group received $5,000 from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) to open up a headquarters in Washington, D.C., CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad, who has professed his support for Hamas, called the $5,000 a “modest donation.” The HLF, whose Chairman, Ghassan Elashi, was also a founding board member of CAIR’s Texas chapter, was shut down by the United States for financing Hamas. The FBI called HLF “Hamas’ largest fundraising entity in the U.S.” ------ "Conversations with a Terrorist," by Joe Kaufman, FrontPageMagazine.com, 6/08/04 If you want to have some real fun look up Holy LAnd Foundation.

CAIR, the same group which is involved in the recent "war on the NSA" :

JANUARY 2006 : (CAIR JOINS LAWSUIT AGAINST THE NSA - See AL QAEDA & RABIH HADDAD) In January 2006, CAIR joined a lawsuit against the National Security Agency demanding that the U.S. intelligence agency cease monitoring communications with suspected Islamist terrorists. Part of its complaints concerned a belief that the U.S. government monitored its [CAIR's] communications with Rabih Haddad, the suspected Al-Qaeda financier who has since moved to Lebanon.[54] Upon learning that CAIR was a fellow plaintiff in the suit, political writer Christopher Hitchens said, "I was revolted to see who I was in company with. CAIR is a lot to swallow."[55] ---------The New York Sun, Jan. 18, 2006 via "CAIR: Islamists Fooling the Establishment ," by Daniel Pipes and Sharon Chadha, MEF News, SPRING 2006

What do you wish to discuss?

Must be this statement about FReepers: "I was hoping FReepers would be immune from logical fallacies, emotional decisions, ignorance, and bigotry."

Is that what you wish to discuss?

So your defense of Islam is that the people that don't take it seriously are ok? Read the Koran it is a hate filled book and if you proclaim yourself Muslim and don't follow it some of your coreligionist are apt to kill you. What other belief system demands death for lack of enthusiasm?

If you were wise, you wouldn't choose yourself or even me. You'd choose God and all that He represents. Your hatred isn't what He represents.

I see that you refuse to differentiate between evil Islamic extremists and other Muslims. And you still haven't answered my question. Do you support ALL of our troops, or only those that aren't Muslims? Would you hold a weeping mother, father or wife of a Muslim soldier who lost their life fighting for you and me? Or would you damn them to hell and spit on the grave of the Muslim soldier?

It's a shame because we are on the same side on many issues and if the libs try for a coup de tat, we'll probably end up in the same foxholes.

"You're a good soul. :)"

Thank you. I try my best.

Good night and God bless.

No. You attacked "JW's". I do not proscribe to that specific faith. It is extremely odd that someone would come on to this forum and castigate a faith that has *never* killed people in the name of a (their) deity; yet criticize and deride those of us that call muzzies mindless the killers that they appear to be. A conundrum for thinking people.

Well said, adam_smith_76. I highly doubt that anyone of the "hate 'em all" crowd will even take the time to read the links I had posted, or listen to reason. But at least we can always be comforted by the fact that we tried to get through what my father would have called, "their thick numb-skulls". LOL

Hell no I don't support muslim soldiers. When push comes to shove their faith overrides their sense of loyalty and duty to the U.S.

Or would you damn them to hell and spit on the grave of the Muslim soldier?

Drama queen?

Let them renounce islam. Their god demands they kill us because we aren't muslim. To a muslim male, you are even less than an infidel-you're a woman.
