2. Pujols is certainly an exciting player, but not even his two-homer, seven-RBI performance in Tuesday night's game against the Mets could hold the attention of every fan. Former President Bill Clinton caught the game at Shea Stadium, and a camera caught him snoozing during the eighth inning with the Cardinals clinging to a 7-6 lead. Fortunately, Clinton rose to the occasion for Carlos Beltran's game-winning two-run homer in the ninth, waking in time to high-five fans sitting around him. Indeed, Shea Stadium in this turnaround season has certainly resembled a place called Hope.

He's spent most of his life with Hillary. I'm sure he's developed falling asleep as a defense mechanism.
I read every NY daily sports section every day and there were no quotes from players about meeting him, no pictures from the clubhouse, nothing. It was a non event and if he hadn't fallen asleep no one would even know he was there. Must not have been any chubby teenage girls in his section.
I thought that was at Ronald Reagan's funeral service. Did they snooze at a 9/11 memorial as well?
You ever see that Seinfeld where Jerry's at the car dealer and Puddy keeps wanting high-fives? Jerry refuses and thus looses a great deal on a car. But, in his words, "Its like the wave at ball games. Air quotes. The phrase, "Dont go there." Somebody's gotta take a stand!"

I thought it was the 9/11 service, but I could be totally wrong about that.
Comcast.net has had the video up for a couple of days.
Yeah, lots of Mets fans around now that they're finally having a good season after buying people like Delgado and Wagner. I'll be surprised with that starting pitching if they can get anywhere besides sent home in the playoffs.
Don't worry, the Mets will suck again next year and all the Mets' fans can put their Yankee caps back on.
Well, at least he wasn't hittin' on the babes......*~*
Anyone have the photograph of him sleeping? Is that really being hidden?
One of the announcers calmly stated "They must be exhausted from admiring themselves in the mirror".

The Mouth of the South, former ATL Braves owner Ted Turner used to fall asleep in the owner's box at "The Ted".
Ex-Jane was often seen busily chatting with their guests and other local dignitaries... & the erstwhile Captain Outrageous was drooling on his epaulets...
I am older (not old) now... myself... I can understand stealing a fighter nap in the top of the inning....
I actually seldom watch Major League Baseball anymore...mostly because of the greed strikes of some years ago....I do watch the Little League World Series.
Having said those things...I have long held the theory that those who have substantial experience participating in a sport are much more likely to enjoy watching it...
