The Kremlin may be the main winner in the Lebanon war. Israel has been attacked with Soviet Kalashnikovs and Katyushas, Russian Fajr-1 and Fajr-3 rockets, Russian AT-5 Spandrel antitank missiles and Kornet antitank rockets. Russias outmoded weapons are now all the rage with terrorists everywhere in the world, and the bad guys know exactly where to get them. The weapons cases abandoned by Hezbollah were marked: Customer: Ministry of Defense of Syria. Supplier: KBP, Tula, Russia.
Todays international terrorism was conceived at the Lubyanka, the headquarters of the KGB, in the aftermath of the1967 Six-Day War in the Middle East. I witnessed its birth in my other life, as a Communist general. Israel humiliated Egypt and Syria, whose bellicose governments were being run by Soviet razvedka (Russian for foreign intelligence) advisers, whereupon the Kremlin decided to arm Israels enemy neighbors, the Palestinians, and draw them into a terrorist war against Israel.
General Aleksandr Sakharovsky, who created Communist Romanias intelligence structure and then rose to head up all of Soviet Russias foreign intelligence, often lectured me: In todays world, when nuclear arms have made military force obsolete, terrorism should become our main weapon.

Read my post 36, and you will see I gave credit to NK, but the basic design was modified by Iran.
"the complete failure of Israel to take on the Hezbollahs"
The Russian anti tank weapons presented new problems that will require new strategies - Israel lost not a few tanks etc and its best they have some time to chnge their strategy.
Read the NR article - how can you deny this:
"Another report claimed that in 1987 Iran received more than 200 Scuds directly from the Soviet Union. In return, the USSR was allegedly permitted to establish an electronic listening post in northern Iran."==
Soviet Union did many things and Modern Russia has nothing to do with it.
Oh you mean except for supplying technicians and technical help to upgrade their missiles.==
If it proved of cause. By now what I heard here is just gossips.

Do you remember the russian proverb: "The dog is barking and the wind is carrying". Google is the "wind":).
Again where the evidences, names and so on? Nothing except gossips.
At least one name of one allerged technician?:) Not at all since if they pronounce just one name which is untrue then they can be sued for defamation:)
So those jornalists are very casious to name the real name.
Again they have no nothing but just gossips:). It is the childish play.
Yeah spin away Moskal. The truth is there for all to see.
This article sounds pretty much like a professional anti-Russian propaganda. Another "Empire of Evil": simple, emotional, reader doesn't need to think. If Americans don't see it than Fox News and National Review rule forever. Good Luck US! See you in hell :))
simple facts. Backed up numerous other sources. If Russia wants to act as an enemy, so be it. America will survive. Russia will fade away, it's already dying of old age, alcohol and lack of children. Do svedania Moskalli. E do chorta svame...
oh, you are a ukranian nationalist. Don't worry, Russia now is not an enemy to any country in the world.
Yeah, Russia is just a whore that will sell weapons to anyone, even those who will eventually turn them back on Mother Russia.
Actually I'm an American nationalist, of Ukrainian ancestry.
And you are new around here aren't you? Or are you yet another mask worn by an old face......
“Seems journalists have better investigative methods than I CIA.”
I’d say that’s probably exactly the case.
