Colonel George S Patton rised the 22nd Virginia Infantry in the summer of 1861 he fought at the battles of Secary Creek
Carnfix Ferry Giles County Court House and White Sulphur Springs all but one battle was fought in West Virginia and that was Giles Count it was fought in Virginia.
