I had a ticket booked on Pan Am Flight 103 for the week after it exploded over Lockerbie. I was visiting the parents (military) on college break for the holidays in Belgium. That still sobers me even today.

I'm now convinced that these "incidents" are INTENTIONAL..

Teams of Muslim smart asses, doing anything "legal" but threatening to keep passengers and air crews "off balance"..

These sonsuvbitches are definitely drawing attention to themselves to agitate, disrupt and perhaps establish a "pattern of discrimination" for legal ambitions or to force the air crews to back off in the future in order to make it "safer" for the suicide teams.

We're dealing with insane murderous assholes, but they aren't stupid.

I'll believe we're getting serious about this religious war, after we drag a few of these shiiteheads off a plane and shoot their goat humping asses right there on the tarmac.

Some of the passengers pulled out cell phones during the flight and appeared to be trying to pass the cell phones to other passengers, a U.S. government official said.

In addition, some passengers unfastened their seatbelts while the light requiring they be fastened was still illuminated, the official said.

That was enough for U.S. air marshals aboard the DC-10 to break their cover. Flight attendants ordered the passengers to heed the orders of the marshals, the official added.

There was no intelligence indicating the flight was at risk, and authorities are still evaluating how much of a threat the passengers posed, officials said.

The passengers who were arrested were looking into plastic bags and were busy with their cell phones...

The article doesn't clearly specify the ethnic background of the twelve people arrested. I'm guessing they were elderly Lutheran ladies from Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Ethiopia had a hijacking attempt where the hijackers were overpowered, strapped into the first row of seats and had their throats cut by security personnel. Don't think that airline had a second hijacking.

Amsterdam, Aug. 23 (AP): Dutch police arrested 12 Muslim passengers who aroused the crew's suspicion on a U.S. airline flight to India after it returned on Wednesday to Amsterdam escorted by two F-16 jet fighters, a spokesman said.

Police spokesman Rob Staenacker said he could not disclose the nationalities of the Muslim people taken from the Northwest DC-10 after it was diverted over German airspace, or the nature of the suspicions against them.

``I can tell you 12 Muslim people have been arrested,'' he said.

It was not immediately clear if they had been charged.
