After all, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, etc , are all South of Great Britain.

"South Asian" is anyone from the Indian sub-continent: namely anyone from the countries of India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, the Seychelles and also (to some extent) those in Myanmar (Burma) and Tibet
