DNA swiped from John Mark Karr after his arrest last week in connection with the JonBenet Ramsey murder might be irrelevant, in part because "something got screwed up" when samples were taken from the crime scene in 1996, a former investigator on the case said.

Local law enforcement in Littleton, CO and Boulder, CO set new records for bravery and diligence in the 1990s.

Dang. If this guy didn't do it and is just nuts I hope they don't convict him just on his confession.

If the Boulder crime lab is anything like Houston's crime lab, I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of it.
The Houston crime lab has cost the tax-payers 10s of millions in retried cases or convictions being thrown out and not retried. The suspect cases ran into the several hundred over many years.

Why hasn't Howard Dean asked where George Bush was at Christmas 1996? So far this has been the only thing that has not been "Bush's Fault." Oh, and myabe the Lindbergh Kidnapping.

Interesting. Hate to don the tinfoil, but how convenient they have a disturbed, confessed suspect and now we'll just have to take him at his word...
To: Froufrou
You'd think, but by the comments by the Boulder Law Enforcement, it seems they did the testing or lack thereof.

I think it will not be a match but will be ruled "inconclusive " because of the sample.

They seem to be resembling that remark. My God, have they done anything correct in this case besides turning it over to a former DA?

I think the only screw up we have missed would be if this guy, John Karr,
is revealed to be an actor playing "John Karr" hired by Howard Stern
as the ultimate radio stunt to boost his subscriber numbers . . .

I'm beginning to think the Boulder investigation was SO inept they are purposely blowing this case to cover their sorry @sses!

There was a 'supposition' in an article a couple of days ago that the foreign DNA at the scene (panties) might have actually originated from the manufacturer/factory. They were going to try to check to see whether any non-used panties might have had the same DNA on them.

...made up a fantastic story to make himself feel special. I think he made up the story, in part, to obtain extradition to the US...and out of the hell hole in Thailand.
