Donation will allow Minutemen to erect high-tech border fence
KOLD ^ | Associated Press

TUCSON, Ariz. A Washington-based company is donating up to seven (m) million dollars worth of fiber-optic security fencing material for the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps for new barriers near the border.

The mesh has embedded sensors that can differentiate between human and animal contact and conditions such as high winds or heavy rain. Tied into cameras and alarms, the system can alert monitors to the precise location of any intrusion.

A spokeswoman for the Minuteman corps says the material could be used on range fencing similar to what the group put up earlier this year on a southern Arizona ranch.

Arizona's 377-mile border has been the focal point for smugglers bringing illegal immigrants into this country for years.

Get someone to help you....your reading comprehension level is even lower than usual, tonight.

I guess that those tinfoil reading glasses are hampering your vision.

Your post has absolutely nothing to do with the post you replied to, with this drivel.

Both parties in D.C. seem disconnected with the realities of immigration among other issues

Welcome to FR. Your rational statement will put you at odds with most of the OBLers.

" I am sick and tired of idiots using this argument. For 30 years is was the leftists saying "if we can put a man on the moon, we can cure poverty, aids or (your problem here)"

Now I have to listen to idiot conservatives yap about this."

______

You don't have to listen to anything on this board (or any other).

FACT:

One of the primary arguments used to dismiss border security is the typical defeatist attitude that it is logistically and physically impossible to build a physical barrier between the U.S. and Mexico. I will concede that no barrier would solve the problem by itself but it would definitely work better than what we have now. A physical barrier would allow border patrol to be more effective.

Any discussion of illegal immigration must first address our southern border or it loses all credibility with me.

The South Korean company can't have a tax write off for donating to the MCDC; it is NOT tax deductible in any way, shape, manner, or form. The MCDC is NOT now,. nor has it ever been a not for profit organization.

That's not your pecking?

I'm telling you that.

Any Grand Juries empaneled yet?

Any formal Charges laid yet?

Nope and nope.

Just a bunch of carping from people who like their politics spoon fed to them by Republican party hacks. Come to think of it it's the same bunch who told us that Harriet Meiers was a wonderful pick for SCOTUS.

Unlike some of you, I don't have to be told by anybody what to think. I can pretty well spot a bunch of phoneys when I see them.

Why neglect our northern border, which is far more porous and through which terrorists and illegals have come through; not to mention dope dealers?

That's not my WHAT? "PECKING"?

The MCDC is NOT a not for profit organization; yet it HAS claimed that it was. Donations to not for profits ARE tax deductible. MCDC can't say that donations to them are tax deductible, when they haven't even filled for such a status; yet they did. Now, finally they claim that they have filled for that, but have yet to receive it. At least some of the gullible will now not try to list their donations as tax exempt...or not. LOL

"We the people", meaning an unnamed Washington-based company, donating an unnamed amount, according to an unnamed spokeswoman, on an unnamed date?

The devil is in the details.

You just carped at another poster about comprehension and now you claim I am here to talk about college football? I have my normal web stomping grounds to talk football.

I responded to other posters about football (and my name) and you started a cheap (and unsolicited) mail order lawyer interrogation of me. I previously stated that I enjoyed debate/politics forums when I was in the mood.

BTW - a homogenous board is boring and while I am conservative I dislike most of the Republocrats we are currently cursed with.
