TUCSON, Ariz. A Washington-based company is donating up to seven (m) million dollars worth of fiber-optic security fencing material for the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps for new barriers near the border.
The mesh has embedded sensors that can differentiate between human and animal contact and conditions such as high winds or heavy rain. Tied into cameras and alarms, the system can alert monitors to the precise location of any intrusion.
A spokeswoman for the Minuteman corps says the material could be used on range fencing similar to what the group put up earlier this year on a southern Arizona ranch.
Arizona's 377-mile border has been the focal point for smugglers bringing illegal immigrants into this country for years.
You dont have facts, because you dont want the facts. You want a convenient enemy.
Simcox is used to that type of opposition - Lulac, ACLU and every other moonbat open borders league. Why should he give them any information.
All you have to do is read their forum. They have a website you know. They have a forum too. If you dig through the posts many of the questions you had posted were answered, although not in a timely instantaneous fashion as you demanded.
On the subject of illegals... it looked to me like TN has a pretty sizeable population of "shadow workers." A few folks I talked to said illegals are moving in and taking jobs, jobs that Americans had been doing, and are driving the wages on those jobs down. If we don't get a handle on it soon, we're just asking for trouble.
For about $10K per mile, $7M would easily cover Arizona. I'm guessing someone is fishing for a gov't contract later on.
Now we just need the money for the fence itself!
I am sick and tired of idiots using this argument. For 30 years is was the leftists saying "if we can put a man on the moon, we can cure poverty, aids or (your problem here)"
Now I have to listen to idiot conservatives yap about this.
This isn't a chat room, though it does have a chat section; but this isn't it.
If you aren't a Conservative, leave now, before you get the ZOT; or stay and get one. :-)
I expect the government to fleece the people. I expect the government to turn a blind eye toward the porous borders. Am I happy about that? HELL NO!
What's laughable is Simcox going around saying the government ain't doing squat to protect it's citizens, and he's running around raising money for a fence that doesn't exist.
Who says that this just signed up tonight poster is even a CONSERVATIVE?
Thanks. I am a conservative and can take care of myself on a discussion board. I appreciate all of the concern.
That remains to be seen. :-)
You mean Hyundai, Kia and LG and Samsung dont have a US payroll, pay property and personnel taxes on US property, or federal, state and local taxes?
Wrong.
People in He** want ice water. If you didn't give the MM any money, what they did with it is none of your business.

It may be deductible by the US subsidiary as an advertising expense, vs. a charitable contribution, if the recipient org. is not an IRS 501(c)3.
I really miss Knoxville. I moved up to Spokane, WA about 4 years ago for a different job.
Traffic on I-40 has been getting worse for years and it will continue until they build the I-75 bypass to connect the west side of Knoxville to the North side and divert all of that traffic from going through the west side of town.
TN has been swamped with illegals for years and it has gotten worse recently. There is alot of agriculture in the surrounding counties. It is much worse here in the center of Washington State though.
I agree with your sentiments on illegals. Both parties in D.C. seem disconnected with the realities of immigration among other issues.
Seems our elected politicians are feeling some heat;)
Keep telling yourself that.
That's going to be rather difficult to prove and the IRS is going to see such a deduction as a GIAT red flag.
I don't know if this guy is conservative or not.
I do know that someone who posts "We can put a man on the moon in the 60's but... " has made a very bad first impression.
