I am sick and tired of idiots using this argument. For 30 years is was the leftists saying "if we can put a man on the moon, we can cure poverty, aids or (your problem here)"

Now I have to listen to idiot conservatives yap about this.

FACT:

One of the primary arguments used to dismiss border security is the typical defeatist attitude that it is logistically and physically impossible to build a physical barrier between the U.S. and Mexico. I will concede that no barrier would solve the problem by itself but it would definitely work better than what we have now. A physical barrier would allow border patrol to be more effective.

Any discussion of illegal immigration must first address our southern border or it loses all credibility with me.
