Hitler was a great evolutionist/Darwinist. Survival of the fittest, and he was going to be the fittest.
Must be Godwin's law for crockumentaries.
Evangelical nutcases claiming Darwin is responsible for Hitler.
Historically, there is simply no question that Darwinism was a powerful influence on Nazi thinking. If Mr. Foxman and the ADL are in denial about this, shame on them.
Interesting, author William Shirer referred to Mein Kampf as "crude Darwinism" among other things.
Any lie is permissible if it saves souls sells books (and DVDs too)!
His "thousand year Reich"
sounds like Christ's "millennial
kingdom." Shall we blame
Christians for giving
Hitler the whole idea
of a perfect realm?
totally wrong. if you believe you are the master race, there is no need for war. You let nature take its course and you will win.
any link to nazis is a bastardized interpretation of evolution.
There is no question that Christianity had a powerful influence on Nazi thinking as well.
Darwin influenced/inspired Nietzsche. Nietzsche influenced/inspired Hitler.
Why the antagonism toward God and those who follow Him?
"Historically, there is simply no question that Darwinism was a powerful influence on Nazi thinking. If Mr. Foxman and the ADL are in denial about this, shame on them."
This is a story the Darwinists will do everything in their power to attack, but especially the maker of the film. IF you can't deny the historical impact of Darwinian thinking on the NAZI movement, you attack the guy that brings it to light.
I'll ask you the same question: Why so antagonistic toward God and those who follow Him? Did you have a bad experience with Christianity when you were younger? You really should reconsider the claims of Scripture, my friend.
The concept of the book is ridiculous. Did Hitler use Darwin's theory? Absolutely! Hitler stole what ever was around that fit his agenda, that does not mean the originators caused Hitler. Saying that Darwin caused the holocaust is like blaming blitzkrieg on Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler and Orville and Wilbur Wright.
Christianity was not a foundation of Nazi ideology at all. The Nazi's thought Christianity was soft and they despised it's teachings. The Nazi's were a combination of Atheists and Pagans. Germany was well into it's post-Christian phase by the time the Nazi's came to power.
Hitler believed in selective breeding, not natural selection. They're not the same thing.
And selective breeding was around long before Darwin.
Satan is the greatest imitator, isn't he? :)
"There is no question that Christianity had a powerful influence on Nazi thinking as well."
What are you talking about?
My antagonism is for the religious nutcases like Jim Jones and his kool aid drinking followers, the nutcases in the vatican who made galileo renounce his now proven to be true theories, the psychos of the spanish inquisition and the nuts who burned "heretics" at the stake
AND THE MORONS WHO ARE WILLING TO DO ANYTHING INCLUDING TO BASH EVOLUTION TO THE POINT WHERE THEY WANT TO LINK DARWIN TO HITLER.
Excellent point.
