MOSCOW - A Russian passenger jet with 170 people aboard disappeared from radar screens over Ukraine and probably crashed, an emergency official said. The RIA-Novosti news agency reported that wreckage was found on the ground in Ukraine.

The plane, on its way from the Black Sea resort of Anapa to St. Petersburg, disappeared from radar screens, Emergency Situations Ministry spokeswoman Yulia Stadnikova said.

The plane reportedly had sent a distress message.

Apparently there was a "mayday" before the plane went down so I'm guessing it was a mechanical failure of some sort.

It's sick how the Left media use a tragedy like this to play their little "BREAKING NEWS" game.

Case in point:

I was just watching Sky News (UK), who are probably the biggest "Breaking News" idiots on the planet. Anything happens and it is "BREAKING NEWS" all day long in huge letters across the top of the TV screen, the bottom of the TV screen, behind the news reporters, across their ticker and generally flashed in your face every other minute...

Anyway they had "BREAKING NEWS" which at first was reported as: "A Russian plane with 170 on board has been reported as crashed. We will report more details as we get them."

Then they cover some other bit of news for just two minutes and then it's "BREAKING NEWS" again but this time they say" A Russian plane with 170 people on board has been reported down on the ground and burning. We will continue to provide the details as we get them."

Then they move on to something else for only 2 minutes and then it is "BREAKING NEWS" once more and this time they say: "We have more information, the Russian plane with 170 people on board has crashed and pieces of the wreckage are burning according to witnesses."

Now the thing is they knew from the start that the plane crashed and the wreckage was burning but to simply inform their viewers of that would kill the whole climax of their orgasmic "BREAKING NEWS" cheap thrills, so they dribbled it out on purpose and presented it as "more information".

It's just sick to watch the Media play their idiotic little games when some sort of tragedy strikes. I refuse to watch more of it. You simply can't trust people who play theatrics like that.

I asked my wife why she always takes the train, and never flys in Russia. In her diplomatic way she replied, "The trains get there."
