Prayers? That's probably why the trains collided. It was prayer time, the guy that was supposted to pull the track switch pulled out his prayer mat instead.

CAIRO, Egypt - Two passenger trains collided in northern Egypt on Monday, killing at least 12 and injuring several others, police officials said.
The early morning incident occurred in the province of Qalyoub, just north of the capital Cairo, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media.
Four cars derailed and overturned, they said, requiring the closing of the line.
The incident was under investigation, they said.
Egypt has a history of serious train accidents, which are usually blamed on poorly maintained equipment. Many of those incidents occur in the Nile Delta, north of the capital.
In February, 20 people were injured when two trains collided at a Nile Delta station.
When I was in High School in Cairo and we were getting sick of drinking in the American & French Hotels we would grab a Train to Alex and sit in the dining car the entire trip and drink Stella for less than a dime a piece.
