Hezbollah night-vision gear was from Britain, Israel says

Kiryat Shemona, Israel -- Israeli intelligence officials have complained to Britain and the United States that sensitive night-vision equipment recovered from Hezbollah fighters during the war in Lebanon had been exported by Britain to Iran. British officials said the equipment had been intended for use in a U.N. anti-narcotics campaign.

Israeli officials say they believe the state-of-the-art equipment, found in Hezbollah command-and-control headquarters in southern Lebanon during the just-concluded war, was part of a British government-approved shipment of 250 pieces of night-vision equipment sent to Iran in 2003.

Israeli military intelligence confirmed that one of the pieces of equipment is a Thermo-vision 1000 LR tactical night-vision system, serial No. 155010, part No. 193960, manufactured by Agema, a high-tech equipment company with branches in Bedfordshire, England, and San Diego. A spokesman for Agema in San Diego denied all knowledge of the system.

It's going to be impossible to keep advance weapons out of the hands of terrorists. The only solution is to kill them before they get them.

Ah, there are those two fatal initials again. I would assume the "anti-narcotics campaign" is another UN terrorist-supply operation, with the usual suspects skimming off the cash...somebody check Kofi's pockets, please.

Why am I not surprised? The only surprise is that it got into the MSM at all.

This is more proof that the United Nothings support the war of terror against Western Culture, Christians, and Jews. Every time we contribute to the UN, we are giving money to the enemy.
Every time we give the uN a voice, they turn against us.

Stop supplying ANYTHING TO THE UNITED NOTHINGS.

I remember reading about that deal with Iran.
Iran has used their 'war on drugs' to buy all sorts of military equipment.

Western governments are foolish. People die when governments make such bad decisions. The British have a historical record of appeasing and defeating themselves in WW II until the German bombs began to fall on their cities.

They have money. They'll buy whatever's on the market. The key for the US military is to stay ahead of the market, and keep our leading edge stuff out of the market as long as possible.
